I thought I'd take inspiration from Shirley's word of the week. We're down to the last few pages of #7 and I had some spare time so thought I'd get prepared.

Angela Rippon got my Amanda vote

I thought Adam and Ryan were the twins?? I had no idea that Adam is actually twinned up with the other brother!!

Anyway….back to what’s important…

I liked Nigel and Krish tonight.

I can’t take to Karen and Eddie at all!
Same with Angela S….there’s something about her that I just can’t gel with.

I think Eddie will be in the dance off against Zara, and I think Eddie will go home.

Layton would drive me personally up the wall, but I've never seen the slightest scintilla of impatience from Nikita, they always seem very close.

Nigel, Annabelle, Ellie for me tonight. Just my three favs.

I keep thinking that Angela S is under marked.
Zara and Angela R over marked, I think just to boost them.

Zara - because I rather like her and don't want her to leave this week. I don't think she was the worst

Bobby - because I enjoyed theirs the most

and

Annabel - because I rather liked the style of their charleston

Voted for Eddie, Ellie and… how ridiculous, I’ve only just done it and forgot who my third vote went to! Adam or Krishnan probably, I think they’re both adorable. And if Adam has RA as reported on these threads, I have great respect for him doing this.

Loved Angela R’s AT and hadn’t expected to. How lovely that she got her long-held wish to dance it at the age of 79.

So many dances I’ll watch again, including Ellie’s paso and Layton’s wonderful salsa, that was amazing choreography, so unusual.

Love watching Bobby, he’s so loose and graceful.

Angela S (who I usually vote for), Annabel, Zara or Eddie probably doomed for the dance-off this week.

Aston Merrygold and Tyler West both had shock eliminations the week they wore an Afro wig. Can't remember if there was another one.

I voted for him.

Zara has no musicality, bless her Motsi was right it’s like a robot waiting for Graziano. How did Craig give her a 7!?
I really liked Vito and Ellie but couldn’t stop watching Vito! Incredible music and dancing!
I like Angela Scanlon and it’s unfair of Craig to say looked like they had ran out of ideas at the end that’s nada to do with her.
Angela R did very well she is so elegant Kai is just brilliant with her.

I liked both Layton and Ellie, but they're safe, so not worth voting for.

Heh - that’s the attitude that gets “shock” eliminations at around week 5…

Possibly! However, for the moment I think they're safe, and - I'd wager -finalists.

Tbf though, that usually doesn't happen with the top two couples, as it's pretty hard statistically for them to be in the bottom two. And if they were, unless dancing against each other or royally messing up, they'd be saved by the judges.

I think the finalists will be:
Layton
Ellie
Nigel
Amanda ( assuming her medical conditions don't get in the way).
Krishnan/Bobby dark horses who could take out one of the others.

Didn’t like Adam he just didn’t keep up with Luba it was so obvious, think the high marks were for sympathy.
Loved Krishnan he’s loving his life in strictly! His partnership with Lauren has worked very well.

Not from the top of the leaderboard. Not in week 5. After Blackpool maybe. If you do the sums the odds against it are astronomical- and would involve insane assumptions like Zara or Eddie getting more votes than Krishnan, Nigel and Bobby.

I've only just seen that Tyler's going out with Molly Rainford...

I can see Krishnan doing a Chris Hollins and getting to the final. He LOVES it all so much and improves week on week. I’ve always liked him as a newsreader and interviewer, but I love him in this.

Oh really?! They were in the dance off against each other the week he and Dianne were eliminated.

I won't be surprised if Nigel hits a wall around semifinals time and doesn't make the final- although I'd like him to.
