Is anybody else watching Celebrity SAS who dares wins ? I like Arge .I don’t think he is trying to be a clown ,he is just nervous. Couldn’t help but laugh at Matt Hancocks fall !

I could watch Matt Hancock being pushed into the water and insulted all day long. It's the best thing I've seen all year!

Such a shame about Amber but definitely don't blame her for bailing out when she did. She was so impressive in this series.

Felt awful when Danielle was insulted about her appearance - her deflated face was sad to see

burnoutbabe · 05/11/2023 19:47

Why is it okay to insult matts appearance but not Danielle?

Hopefully they have all watched before dvd know they just need to hang on until A CERTAIN POINT and then it's fine to give in and spill the beans.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 05/11/2023 21:13

Matt just can't help himself!

Supertillypops · 05/11/2023 22:16

Excellent result. Well done Gareth!

5foot5 · 06/11/2023 09:31

I did wonder whether they kept on giving tasks until they could declare a clear winner who wasn't Hancock. Obviously glad it was Gareth

burnoutbabe · 06/11/2023 09:48

the final task often disadvantages any female person -so hanging from a bar or many other tasks over the years.

And yes, they clearly did not want to say MH could be ONE OF THEM. So Gareth winning and the other 2 not was probably the best ending. He would never have been allowed to win would he?

(i would have been gutted if he lost due to Perry giving them up to the interigators, as he had no choice but to confirm her story at that point)

HundredMilesAnHour · 06/11/2023 11:14

I don't think it's that MH would never be allowed to win but that you/they could never trust him to have your/their back and having that trust in someone is fundamental. Whilst you may be physically and mentally capable of succeeding in the tasks, if you can't be trusted to put your team / colleagues first then you fail the course. MH had multiple opportunities to demonstrate that he's actually a decent guy underneath but instead he just showed that he was arrogant and egotistical. Unfortunately it seems the MH we saw during Covid is the real MH.

VQ1970 · 06/11/2023 21:05

I was sorry to see Amber give up, I was impressed with how well she had done but I can't imagine how scary that must have been. Danielle has been brilliant and she should be so proud of herself.

I know the interrogators are going to find weaknesses and really have a go but I can't help thinking Dylksy (?) went in on Matt H with some real venom behind his words.

Lottapianos · 06/11/2023 21:17

'but I can't help thinking Dylksy (?) went in on Matt H with some real venom behind his words.'

Yes I thought the same. It was clear that all the DS and the interrogators had no time for him and didn't trust him an inch

The interrogators are really nasty and pretty frightening - it's their job of course but they do it very well!

Jibo · 06/11/2023 22:34

I thought all the final 3 did brilliantly and should all have passed. I wouldn't mind going into battle with Matt Hancock by my side - as long as you were on the same side as him you'd be fine and I can imagine him being merciless with the enemy. He's also 45 and not particularly fit so he must be very strong mentally to have pushed through to the end!

Must be very tricky to interrogate Gareth Gates. His stammer worked in his favour for once! Bought him time and I think the interrogators realised that screaming at him wouldn't help.

I always wonder if interrogator Debs is a Mumsnetter. I imagine her having teenage DCs and running an EXTREMELY tight ship. Debs, are you reading this?!

That's made me laugh. Starting softly, you need to put the empty loo roll in the recycling bin. Normal voice, don't forget to recycle the loo roll. Defcon1, WHY IS THE LOO ROLL STILL ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR YOU PATHETIC, SNIVELLING EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING.

Personally I thought Matt did ok. Can't lose the smug arrogance but quite entertaining in his own way. The comments in interrogation about ecology and biodiversity were a classic.

I'd like to have seen Gareth the winner but Danielle and Matt pass too. Danielle did brilliantly.

onestepfromgrace · 07/11/2023 18:04

I disagree I think the reason he failed is because he is selfish and arrogant and his loyalty lies with himself. He would put his own needs first. His arrogance on the programme reflects that.

The speed and manner of how he discarded his wife and left his children shows the man has no scruples. He really would leave you behind in a ditch for his own gain.

TitsInAbsentia · 07/11/2023 18:35

Really happy Gareth passed! I'd like Danielle to have passed but unfortunately she just wasn't physically strong enough.

As for MH, well you go on this show knowing they'll have a scream and shout at you and pick holes, exploit your weaknesses etc...so when you go in as a bit of a 'villain' as it were, well, you know you'll get it worse than most!

BlowDryRat · 08/11/2023 19:06

Did anyone see Zoe on HIGNFY last Friday? She said she went in with an open mind re. Matt Hancock, but it snapped shut again verrry quickly.

I'm glad GG won. He was brilliant the whole way through, especially stepping in to the lead when they had to rescue the hostages.

Yes! She looked great, her hair is growing back nicely. I did laugh at what she said about Hancock. Loved her on the SAS show, she was brilliant
