Can someone remind me what is wrong with Reiss's wife? She had a stroke in the bath I thought? She doesn't seem to be on any sort of life support (ventilator etc) so surely she'd be in some kind of care home/hospice rather than a regular hospital (let alone a private room in a hospital).

I've already predicted that Debbie will arise from her bed just as Sonia is being wheeled into hospital to give birth. Can't believe Reiss has stolen her money for the treatment. Surely he's the kind of guy who would have £££ put by in savings as I imagine he's the type to live a frugal lifestyle. He has a reasonably well paid job with no hobbies, friends or social life.

Sonia didn't question where this money was coming from did she?
I'd be all over that wanting proof he has it and where it's from etc.
The stats seemed low to me ( although I haven't any experience of IVF and I don't know anyone who has gone through it that I know personally )
Plus having his wife there in a coma would also put me off too I think

It’s amazing how many children are motherless in the square.

So many have dead, missing or from the dead mums. Or they were adopted and reunited with their birth mums in mad circumstances - the adoptive parents of both Raymond and Martin and Sonia’s annoying daughter (can’t remember her name) died in car crashes. What are the odds.

Otherwise they are invisible and then there’s poor Sharon’s son who she is always palming off to whoever is free to babysit😭
