I agree that Jay needs to grow up , he is wallowing and Lola would want him to be a bigger person than this and not take drugs

I agree Jay is wallowing but he’s just been widowed and after finding out Lola was the love of his life. He seems lost and bereft to me and he doesn’t seem to have much in life apart from his job, Lexi and home life. I don’t think he quite knows what to do with Lola or seems a spare part with Ben and Callum. If Jay had Lola on his own he’d have no choice but to step up and parent her. At least Ben had/has exercise/boxing.

I don’t agree with what he’s doing and think he needs bereavement counselling or the insight and input from the couple who ran the funeral home before.

Using the Wallowing word is harsh I admit, but I thought Jay would be more pragmatic about things especially around Lexi. He had to fight be a surrogate dad to her and now he is jeopardizing it all for a quick hit
