Self defence still applies if you are saving someone else (not just yourself). But only if you use reasonable force.

Stacey and Freddie will need Bobby and Anna(?) to lie because they saw Stacey out in the square when she was searching for a weapon (and they were looking for Freddie), and she told police she was in the house the whole time. So Bobby will have a dilemma over whether to lie to save his (ex) best-friend or tell the truth and potentially send him daaaaaan!

plus, I happen to be reading the secret barrister, and any lawyer worth their salt knows, that was self defence. It’s very difficult to measure how hard to hit someone, so long as Freddy doesn’t get say…… machine gun out, he would have been in the clear anyway!

Anyone else find Freddie really annoying and quite a bad actor! Also because of that too much screen time. Fat too long scenes. Quite painful .. end up fast forwarding all the crying with Stacey.

Freddie is not a good actor. I hate to say it because the actor seems like a nice young man IRL but when he won the TV award recently for best newcomer or whatever it was I was open mouthed in shock.

I’ve watched and hoped he’d improve over time as he shares scenes with and learns from better actors (Jean, Kat, Stacey) but it’s not happening. Have seen several scenes where he’s tripped over his lines and since they’ve kept it in it probably means that was nth time he got it wrong and they can’t be bothered to do another take. And that pained expression…it’s like he has trapped wind and is on the verge of tears.

Ken is doing my head in now, as is Bernie, who they seem to have turned into a nasty gossip who puts her foot in it from time to time.

I also noticed Suki ringing Nugget whose phone has been found by the canal. There must be a second phone, surely not such a big error?

Also, I did laugh when he first went missing that the police said that they had been looking in all the chicken shops in the area. That boy must really enjoy his nuggets.
