Oh my, it’s shaping up to be good.

Much better than Dead City.

Are you watching in the UK OP? If so where are you watching please!

BorgQueen · 11/09/2023 21:56

Mine comes direct from the US, my Son in law works in tech 😉
If you get a VPN you can subscribe to AMC , that’s what I used to do.

Caught up last night - really enjoying it

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 27/09/2023 02:13

Yes the 1st episode a bit slow but the 2nd episode was just brilliant. Yes agree it is far better than the one with Maggie. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Father Daryl, had to laugh at that. But cannot wait for the Rick one.

BorgQueen · 27/09/2023 11:30

It’s just getting better and better, apart from the drag queen 🙄

Really enjoying this! Way better than Maggie and co. Daryll is never going to learn some French is he Grin

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 28/09/2023 04:32

I think Daryl is going to have a sexy affair with the wild nun as the way she keeps looking at him and she used to be wild back before she was a nun. BorgQueen remind me who is the drag queen, (my peri-menopause brain fog). Need to catch up on latest episode.

BorgQueen · 28/09/2023 09:20

Drag queen In episode 4, which also has a very unexpected twist or two 😱😢
Clemence Poseey is a fantastic actress, she really adds a lot to the show.
I’m convinced Daryl was remembering Carol when he’s staring at the Degas.
The cemetery / grave bit was also chef’s kiss , the writing on this is far better than Dead City or FTWD.

Thank you don't think I have seen episode 4 will watch tonight thank you so much.
I remember when The Walking Dead came out and it was a few months before I watched so watched a load of episodes back to back and loved it. Until Alexandria and then all the new characters.
If you haven't already seen it watch the Korean movie. Train To Busan.

Brilliant movie and one of my favourite.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 28/09/2023 14:41

How the fuck did he end up in France? I just can't get over this. Isn't America big enough for the Walking Dead franchise?

Twazique · 29/09/2023 13:26

I'm loving it being in France, and loving the better acting. I also thought of Carol and her daughter when the Nun was affected by the little girl.

Yes, how did he get there?

yesterweek · 29/09/2023 18:23

He got there strapped to the back of an upside down rowing boat and yes, it makes no sense! But it is better than other walking dead stuff of recent years.

Thanks. I saw the trailer but felt that was a far fetched method of transport.

I stopped watching Walking Dead before one of my favourite characters was killed off but I may watch this.

Of course, what other way is there post-Apocalypse?

IAteAllTheCake · 29/09/2023 18:34

Would I have to be up to date with Walking Dead before I start watching this ? I stopped watching WD ages ago when it got ridiculous.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 29/09/2023 18:35

I thought he was going to end up with Connie.

yesterweek · 29/09/2023 19:03

The best bit is, not only did he traverse the Atlantic, he also made it a fair way up and around the Med to start where he starts. Spoiler alert but he then shakes it off and walks the length of France and gets to Paris in ney time at all as well! It's a bit like travel in GOT's later seasons.

Twazique · 29/09/2023 19:18

I thought he crossed the Atlantic in a larger boat, possibly with some semi-interesting kidnapping/stowaway back story, then escaped in the smaller life boat.

DonttouchthatLarry · 29/09/2023 19:38

I think you all need to suspend your disbelief at how he got to France considering you're on board with the whole zombie thing 😂

Hickry · 29/09/2023 19:48

Ooh I've found my people. I'm loving this spin off. Def my favourite!

I've watched the first three episodes by searching FB for them. ;-)

We don't know how he was on the big boat that left America but he was on a larger boat with people being brought to France for experiments it seems. Something happened, he escaped the boat, the captain thought he was dead, but he was not. I'm very curious about it all.

I just love it being in France. The acting is good, the sets, etc. So far I'm very much enjoying it.

confusedanonn · 29/09/2023 19:51

Please explain how to watch this in uk in simple terms for me! I loved TWD !!

I fully embrace the Zombie reality, apart from the pristine Alexandria interiors, which get restored to House and Garden glory after every Zombie/human enemy incursion.

But I cannot wrap me head round the European Grand Tour.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 29/09/2023 20:17

I keep looking at those sale advertisements for the forts in the Solent, thinking what a good hideaway they would make.
