Just watched tonight's episode. Whitney is batshit. I said yesterday, she just kept going in at Ella, instead of just saying "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings". It was so disproportionate to what she was saying her issue was. Completely OTT and controlling.
I can't stand how she gives her opinion then confirms it's true because "I don't lie".
So an opinion combined with not being a liar equals "opinions are facts". Batshit.

I agree, it’s like she thinks everything that she says is a fact and nobody else could possibly be right. I think Lochan is starting to feel a bit uncomfortable

That was unbelievably rude! I like how he pointedly said, “Respectfully”

It’s as others have said, Whitney just can’t see anyone else’s point of view. She’ll just keep parroting “I don’t lie. I tell it like it is. it’s a fact.” It’s very odd and it’s rude.

I was on holiday for 2 weeks at start of show so had to catch up, but have missed catching up on here!

I was a Whit fan originally but have gone right off her now. I disliked Ella at the start, but really like her now (not Ty though!). Whitney said Ella wasn't being honest, whilst saying she should have picked someone else for the smug category, as she thought they were friends? Absolutely love the way Ella says "shower" though, I'm a sucker for a Scottish accent 😂

I don't see any emotion from Whitney, is this due to filler? Her face doesn't move at all and her voice is oddly the same, completely monotone, freaks me out a bit. Almost as much as Kady, whom I was convinced was a Stepford Wife and if you pushed her hard enough, her batteries would fall out.

Have never seen the appeal of Zach, physically or personality wise. Molly, I don't get the hate for her, don't think she's particularly done anything to deserve it. I actually liked they mixed it up and put her back in, she was never dumped by the public after all.

Mitch is awful, there was a period in the middle of the series when he became endearing and pulled it back a bit but he's just nasty now. I'm not sure Abi actually does still have feelings for him, she may protest too much, but it must be bloody exhausting having everyone telling you you do all the time.

Wasn't keen on Jess at the very start, when she was quite two faced, mainly to Molly, but absolutely love her now. She's like a breath of fresh air. Reckon her and Ella will stay friends on the outside. Sammy, I've disliked throughout. He clearly thought he was out of Jess' league. Hopefully her personality has won him over and it's not the fact he knows she's popular that's made her more appealing to him 🤔

Def producer strategy to name favourite couple so behaviour afterwards can be framed as smug/cocky/confident.

Whitney is annoying though. Always thought her comments are unnecessary and that if shoe was on the other foot she’d be fuming.

I agree with this. I am going off Whitney even more with each passing episode tbh. As you say, she can dish it out, but she can't take it back. She WAS pissed off and irked at being called SMUG even though she called Ella and Ty 'attention seeking..' Ella and Ty didn't throw their toys out the pram though, and turn into sullen catty 5 year olds like Whitney.

Ya know what, sometimes a little white lie is not a bad thing. 'Telling it like it is' is often just a front for being a rude obnoxious arsehole.

Also, Whitney IS smug. Her 'ooh eeek, we're the favourite couple' line at the end of last night's Love Island was cringe. 'Humble' my arse.

Molly is so over dramatic and acting everything. Even when she’s supposedly upset with Zac she can barely keep a straight face.

They are all desperate to win. They know now that beyond the winners not many couples or individuals have much success nowadays. Not like early seasons.

Literally don’t want any of them to win. There is no subversive unproblematic couple to support like Kai and Sanam… I would say Scott and Abbi but she’s proved herself to be a bunny boiler with the Mitch and Ella stuff.

I agree completely. See the robot, monotone 'I don't raise my voice so I'm SO superior' is so arrogant & annoying. Just because you have a different tone of voice to others when you're angry/ upset/ hurt doesn't make you a better person like she seems to think it does (full disclosure, I'm an emotional person who raises their voice when they're emotional- nothing I can do about that, after 51 years I know myself- it doesn't mean I'm aggressive, just hurt/upset/ angry and showing it in my way). Ella is someone who shows emotion by raising a voice/ crying (I'm a crier too- again not much I can do about it) yet Whit seems to lord it over her/ anyone else who shows emotion differently..

This combined with the statement + 'I don't lie'= fact shows such arrogance.

Does she have filler? She's too young and beautiful for that crap.

Maybe the fight we didn't see was why Whitney chose Kady/ Ouzy to go?

Totally agree with PP that Mitch is a royal pita/ Ty is the worst of the lot/ Abi is a boiler 'make me coffee'/ Sammy's voice is like nails down a blackboard/ Jess is an sweetheart/ Scott is the truest in there and too honest for the while thing.

Glad we saw v little of Stifler's mom last night- and her horrendous lips and whine.

Zach & Molly won't last, but are the least bad out of them all!

It was lovely seeing Kai and Sanam on Aftersun last week. They're so normal 😅

Haven't watched yesterdays but caught up on the thread. I think it's quite obvious that Whitney won't be winning anymore and she's going to get a huge shock. She will be annoyed with herself for throwing it away.

I don't know who will win now! I've been voting for Scott but Abi is outrageous. There is no other couple worth my vote though so will have to stick with Scott

I agree that there aren't many believable happy couplings this year. Ty and Ella are probably the most genuine. I know that people on here don't like Ty but Ella likes Ty and Ty likes Ella, I do believe that.

All the others have one half of the pair who people generally like and the other half ... not so much.

I don't think Scott is all that really. I don't get the love for him.

Zach and Whitney would have been a good couple. Whitney seems to have gone rogue and Zach is down to earth and might have been able to get her to chill out a bit.

If the showed more of the unseen bits on the daily episodes they would be more interesting than the prescriptive 'can I pull you for a chat' that is every single episode.

Whitney is ridiculous, she’s constantly going round telling everyone her opinion but because she presents in a calm and articulate way suddenly it’s “truth” and “facts”. She’s insightful but she’s not fucking psychic, if she’s so humble then she needs to accept the possibility that she might be wrong.

Weirdly I’ve come around a lot on Zach over the past couple of weeks. He’s very easy going, low drama, he and Molly
took the challenge very well and I think it’s because they are actually just happy in their relationship and not focused on their “position” like Whitney + Lochan or Ty + Ella.

Catching up now. Sammy is extremely annoying.

Whitney isn't humble, she just thinks she's right. She's not open to being told she may be wrong or to other perspectives and that's not nice in a relationship or friendship. It's demeaning and frustrating. I am so sad this has happened as I loved her! Honestly.

I cannot believe that Whitney has been behaving like this the whole time but it hasn't been shown?! We would have seen it? Yes she's always been direct but now she's being rude and derogatory. The way she has spoken to Ella is shocking. I would not speak to a friend that way

I think we have seen it, she has been giving her unsolicited opinion as fact since she came in, just on less occasions. Now she feels secure in a couple and in her position in the villa she doesn't see any reason to attempt to moderate it. I think the Whitney we are seeing now is the real one.

I don't think I can vote for Scott anymore because of Abi. Her behaviour is extremely concerning

Went to see the Barbie movie and Chris (Salmon jump guy) from Love Island S5 (?) was in the film!! Literally only one line/scene but good for him!

Apparently Margot Robbie is a big LI fan so maybe that had something to do with it. I wonder which of the islanders/couples she rates in this year's sorry shower? 😄
