The dynamic between the characters in EE feel a bit off for me, like nobody is really gelling or getting on. Anyone else? I think the overuse of blackmail storylines and box ticking of real life issues without exploring them properly and realisticly isn't working. I did think Lola's storyline was great, but all else I can remember is a bit of unconvincing blackmail and now two kids looking for lost parents.

I know that Sonja has never been portrayed with the 'cool' factor but the producers are morphing her into Dot. She was sitting in the pub wearing a white embroidered cardigan today. She seems to be naive these days. She was a teenage mum, the responsible daughter and mother, the practical one in a crisis (Biro anyone?), she came out as Bi, she was fiesty and street smart and suddenly she seems feeble and confused and now possibly pregnant. They are changing her character and its frustrating as she was one of the 'strong' female characters in the Square and she's now a crumbling, bumbling character. I don't know what direction they are taking her.

Found Freddie saying 'love you mum', 'my mum always gave me time' and 'its hard for a child to grow up without a parent' poignant. They must have been hard lines for him to say.

How much is Lily's getting tutored these days? Was it necessary for Eve to repeatedly twitch the curtains as she was supposedly spying on the stalker? They should get Tommy on the job!
