Patsy Kensit is a great baddie. They tried to make Rebecca into Sadie mark 2 arriving in a helicopter and all but she was useless in the role.

We forgive a lot in our soap characters don’t we? Cain was horrific to Debbie, when is his ‘redemption’, its got to be like a decade at least hasn’t it?

I can always remember disliking Cain intensely most of the time as he was a violent thug who bullied Sam and was generally nasty to women. I didn't find him remotely attractive either. Was it when he started seeing Moira that he improved? I can't remember if he had any long term relationships between Classic and then.

Wasn't it after he got a good hammering from Zak?

He's flipping gorgeous though.

Those scenes were hard to watch but the acting is so good. Say what you like about Debbie but Charley Webb is a great actress.

This is so true. I was thinking exactly the same and remember finding it hard to believe that Andy was acting when he was little because he was so good.
It's a pity they turned Debbie into a moaning, sour faced madam when she got older.

They packed so much more into a single episode as well. You see everyone having breakfast, then they go to work, you see them at work, they go for lunch then back to work and then have a proper evening and night time.
The houses looked lived in and you could see outside the windows!

There was way more interaction between different characters too. Now it's these characters are doing this story and this lot are doing another and there's never any crossover between them.

Nowadays you have no clue what time it is, the houses are pitch black and nothing much happens. Marlon seems to be the only character actually doing any work!
