I have had the misfortune of being ill and stuck at home for the past three days. While doing some uni coursework I have had the TV on in the background and as a result, have been subjected to this show.

So for three days I have seen misery and poor health (dental health mainly) on a large scale.

Where do they find these people? Do they take one of those 'fun buses' around and 'recruit' them?

Its bloody awful.

rebelmum1 · 22/02/2008 16:47

I think they live in a different reality. They are almost in a paralell universe or maybe it's us who are a small minority?

I was reading a trashy mag in the Doc's and JK had an advice page in it. Can't remember the name of it. People's something or other..

Fimbo · 22/02/2008 16:56

This link perfectly illustrates what we've been saying about JK's dangerously brutal and insensitive approach to people with real problems. Apparently he writes an agony uncle-type problem page (aaargh!) in Pick Me Up magazine, and he also does a "Jeremy's Judgement" (I kid you not!) column in which he treats us to his opinion (ahem) about one of the true-life stories featured in the magazine that week. It seems he wrote a crass and judgemental piece about a woman with bipolar disorder (manic depression) who had tried to kill herself. You can guess the sort of thing he had to say....basically implying the woman was selfish, she should have thought about her daughter etc (ever heard of mental illness making people act out of character, Jezza?) Anyway, this poor woman was understandably devastated to be talked about this way, and she's quite rightly made a complaint. (I haven't read the full article, but I gather it's in the current issue of Pick Me Up). Here's the link: it's post number 11. Good for her for standing up to him eh? I just wish more people would do the same after he's verbally beaten them to a pulp....then maybe he'd learn to get clued up on the facts before he spouts his unkind rubbish.

I always tell my hairdresser my roots need doing and I am starting to look like a JK guest. Do they wait until their roots need doing?

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 18:04

Hilarious.
