I have had the misfortune of being ill and stuck at home for the past three days. While doing some uni coursework I have had the TV on in the background and as a result, have been subjected to this show.

So for three days I have seen misery and poor health (dental health mainly) on a large scale.

Where do they find these people? Do they take one of those 'fun buses' around and 'recruit' them?

Its bloody awful.

lol National Television. Why do they always harp on about that?

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 11:37

why is the sound not working on it for me?

Jodee · 22/02/2008 12:05

Arghh! Brother used to live in Walsall, had a cracking view of the train depot (the only good thing about the place according to him) and the M6 flyover.

DualCycloneCod · 22/02/2008 12:17

lol at national televeision

turquoise · 22/02/2008 12:17

Lolol at National TV.

Other top phrase being "one thing led to another" - shorthand for "7 WKDs and 2 pints of snakebite led to me getting pregnant and not knowing which out of these 5 dentally challenged knobheads is the father".

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 12:18

LOL LOL LOL @ 'dentally challenged'

RGPargy · 22/02/2008 15:22

PMSL @ this thread!!!!

"Dentally challenged" and "fun bus" is just so true, isn't it?!

Gonna watch the youtube thing now.

Oh and another catchphrase is "If I'm honest..." ggrrr!

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 15:25

you have to watch all of it though- its only in the last few minutes that the man gets all shitty.

RGPargy · 22/02/2008 15:34

oh PMSL!!! That's so funny!! I agree that the bloke on it deserves to be shot tho!!

RGPargy · 22/02/2008 15:40

Oh god, WHY DONT THEY HAVE ANY TEETH?!!!!!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 22/02/2008 15:47

OK, now I am going to tell you what annoys me most about Jeremy Kyle.

It is the way he overuses the word 'erudite'. Has anybody else noticed this?

Obviously he heard it once and assumed it was a synonym for 'intelligent', and thought it sounded impressive, and now he uses it all over the place when he is trying to say that someone is not completely stupid - eg 'Obviously you're a very erudite lady - you knew that sleeping with this man might make you pregnant'.

Erudite means learned, educated, scholarly. It does not mean somebody who has a small amount of common sense.
I wonder if he thinks he is erudite himself. Snort.

SueBaroo · 22/02/2008 15:52

Was it Charlie Brooker asked if he talks like that normally.. does he get home from work and say to his wife "Look, you're an erudite woman.. why did you put too much sugar in my tea again, on NATIONAL televsion!!! Get out of my kitchen, you disgust me!! I'm paying taxes for you to waste sugar!!"

(I realize the answer is no, because it would be abusive... so why do these people queue up for him to do it???)

Kathyis6incheshigh · 22/02/2008 15:59

LOLOL Sue!

georgedontdothat · 22/02/2008 15:59

He actually makes my skin crawl . Did anyone see Vivien Vyle? That was so funny .

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 16:13

'Erudite woman' - LOVE it- Might even do a name change and have that as my name from now on.

He also says 'patently' a lot.

and 'Graham'- he mentions graham a lot.

OP posts:
RGPargy · 22/02/2008 16:17

Was Vivien Vyle a piss take of him?

No tiredemma, he mentions "the Genius" alot.

I wonder if Graham tells him to fuck off with his naff advice after every show?

tiredemma · 22/02/2008 16:25

rebelmum1 · 22/02/2008 16:34

Flibbertyjibbet · 22/02/2008 16:36
