Are we marching dully with gritted teeth towards an unwise Ian/Natalia fling? I think we are.

God I hope not, but it does look like it - or an awkward “she tries it on with him” / “faith suspects they are and makes life hard for him” type situation.

unvillage · 20/01/2024 22:54

Stevie finally made it to the top!

UsernameChangerRanger · 20/01/2024 23:10

She did but can we get Max or Dylan back please?

I thought so but I hope not. Why can't he just have a supportive stepfather type role? OK I know he's no longer technically her stepfather, if the relationship was long enough for him to get there in the first place, but you know what I mean!

I think the top surgery discussion would have been more believable if the actress hadn't already had the top surgery so was totally flat-chested.

This. So they are a man but went to be a woman but is if no sex he /she hence the name which could be make or female

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2024 14:16

Walkingtheplank · 14/01/2024 12:05

I'm wondering if Charlie's exit will be part of the violence in A&E story line.

He will be back

The only way Charlie will leave casualty is when the actor dies in real life

purpleme12 · 22/01/2024 14:52

I think Charlie will definitely leave Casualty this time @Blondeshavemorefun !

I think she's a woman but I think she's only ever said she's non -binary.
But she's just made a decision to remove her breasts.
I'm pretty sure that's what her position is

purpleme12 · 22/01/2024 14:54

she's a woman by birth I mean. Doesn't want to be referred to as a woman

purpleme12 · 22/01/2024 14:55

I have no idea why that is so bold!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2024 15:53

I admit I don't totally understand he /she non binary etx and happy to be educated more

I have a friend whose daughter is now asking to be called a man name and had long hair cut short etx

I went to support her mum and obv teen but not sure how

AGoodDayForSomebodyElseToDie · 22/01/2024 17:35

All you have to do, @Blondeshavemorefun , is try to use whatever name and pronouns the teen asks you to use, and try to respect their identity.

Anything else is likely to cause issues in your friendship as well as upsetting the teen.

I’m not an expert but:

Their sex / genetic background / genitals are irrelevant.

They don’t identify as either male or female. Hence the removal of obvious female (or male) body parts and the use of they / them pronouns / actor rather than actress (although few women use actress any more for other reasons).

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2024 22:38

Weird isn't it. Ten years ago there was none of this binary /they

Or if it was it was not well known

Now so many are coming out /changing etx

AGoodDayForSomebodyElseToDie · 23/01/2024 00:18

No, I don’t think it’s weird. Ten years ago, people just kept their mouths shut about how unhappy aspects of their lives made them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2024 17:38

Meant weird that no one spoke about jr /wasn't a lot of they then etx

unvillage · 27/01/2024 22:25

I felt so worried for that older man the whole episode. :(

Iain/Natalia - "no lol ofc I don't fancy you" (blatantly lying).

Loved the Rash/Dylan dynamic, nice to see Rash stepping up a bit. He's struggling so much with his dad though. Rida needs to tell him about the necklace ASAP - should have been that day when Ashok was settled, but clearly wasn't. It's going to be unnecessary drama, Rash will be angry and fire her, Ashok will be even more unsettled. I know she isn't experienced in elder care but it's a pretty common thing for carers to be gifted treasured possessions by the people they care for, as a nurse she should realise that she shouldn't keep the necklace just like that. Ashok could even accuse her of stealing it tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to however that storyline ends up.

purpleme12 · 27/01/2024 22:27

Yeah it's clearly not going anywhere good and could be avoided if she just told him!

She clearly said that she would only wear it for one day.

daffodilandtulip · 28/01/2024 08:50

I thought Rhida was going to forget about it and Rash go mental. But now she's hidden it under her jumper, she might forget about it and get accused of stealing it. It's obvious that she's got some money issues going on.
I love Dylan full stop. But also love how good he was to Rash.
I think they've made their point that the ED can get violent now, but I do think it's going on a bit. It's not always like that.
And cringe at Ian and Natalia. Don't do it Ian!

UsernameChangerRanger · 28/01/2024 09:19

If Natalia doesn't fancy Ian I'll eat my hat. A good looking guy who is kind and looking out for you? Of course she's going to fancy him!

I hope Rhida doesn't steal from them, I like her character and her stealing means she's probably going to leave.

I love Dylan too. More Dylan please!

purpleme12 · 28/01/2024 09:26

Agree about hammering the point home about the violence in the ED.
But I assume that that's actually because they've started grouping episodes together into one particular theme now.
Which I don't like.

purpleme12 · 28/01/2024 09:29

In just assumed Rida was going to keep on wearing it (perhaps because she forgot or because the dad wanted her to wear it still) and Rash would notice and he just wouldn't like it

Kiwano · 28/01/2024 09:37

I don't think Rida has any intention of stealing, they're just building to a horrible misunderstanding about it. Really she should just have quietly put the necklace back after an hour or so, Ashok wouldn't have remembered that he gave it to her.
