What a load of pants! Did anyone else watch it? I didn't have much faith before seeing it tbh but never imagined it would be as bad as it was. Their singing was awful and they dubbed the kids voices for their own. The dancing was even worse, a bit like your mum and dad dancing!

I'm sure some of you enjoyed it but for what reason i can't think.

well my 3 yrs old loves it!

ArmadilloDaMan · 18/02/2008 19:24

Ds (3.4) absolutely adored it.

TheMadHouse · 18/02/2008 19:25

I was finnishing dinner, but could hear by 2.11 DS signing along to it and asked if he could watch it again!

monkeypie · 18/02/2008 20:15

I know the kids love it... why do you think i had to watch it too! I have cbeebies on while DS is awake as my life would be hell otherwise. believe me it's not my first choice of channel but imo it's the worst prog i have had to watch so far.

we LOVED it big time in this house. Me and DD(6) and DS(4). Their singing ruled. And the poses Carrie struck - brilliant. Those two got over themselves so much to do that show - more power to them. It was the horrendous 'Minipops' stylee kids that were cringeworthy. We're watching every one from now on.

Oh and a scruffy canine West Country sound engineer. Word.

lazarou · 18/02/2008 22:49

The theme tune sounds like the coca cola theme.

anniebear · 19/02/2008 10:18

I thought it was awful!

SueBaroo · 19/02/2008 17:11

I remember Carrie when she had a peroxide blonde pixie crop. She looks much better now. It's a bit cheesy, but it's miles better than 'Mervin and Maureen's musicagrams' or whatever it was that is clearly the rough base for the idea.

pinkteddy · 19/02/2008 20:37

dd (4) loved it and was singing along. Couldn't get over Carrie jumping for ages in those high heels!

biglips · 20/02/2008 09:38

Werent they on a sex/relationship programme a few years ago? or am i thinking of some other couple????

StressTeddy · 20/02/2008 09:42

truly awful although, (as for a lot of you) ds seemed to quite like it. I think the stage school(if indeed that is what they are) kids are the worst I have ever seen. Just dire

BibiThree · 20/02/2008 20:48

PPPLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEEEE! MAKE IT STOP!

My reaction after about 3 minutes of this sh*te-tastic nonsense.

monkeypie · 20/02/2008 21:02

Thank god it's not just me!!!!!
Managed to dodge DS wanting to watch it tonight, 5 o'clock is new bathtime!!

DS loved it because of the talking dog, and I thought Carrie was great - really natural and engaging, unlike half the regular Cbeebies presenters! David looks a bit less comfortable and I was disappointed we didn't actually get to hear the kids do their number - why?

But Carrie was so supercool and nice - I actually wondered if she's an MNer.

Alambil · 20/02/2008 21:10

I love Carrie and David - they are SUCH nice people.

Loved their show too; I think their message is true - there is no decent music that kids can enjoy out there without the parents moaning at all...

DS adores it, actually; we both do!

sfxmum · 20/02/2008 21:56

I really really dislike it and will be complaining. truly awful

pinkteddy · 20/02/2008 23:19

why do you want to complain?

sfxmum · 21/02/2008 09:37

I just feel it is a showcase for these people (flagging careers) and not really for kids it is just them singing and prancing about with some kids thrown in as an excuse, am I being harsh and missing the point?

SueBaroo · 21/02/2008 09:57

Flagging careers? They're really successful now, and a lot of kids will have watched the shows on which they're judges.

skyatnight · 21/02/2008 15:58

Haven't seen the programme so it could be good but, I'm sorry, I just don't like those people - really patronising.

sfxmum · 21/02/2008 16:04

I think that kids aspiring to be talent show contestants is a really bad idea, for so many reasons. and I really don't like their style at all patronising and plastic

SueBaroo · 21/02/2008 16:06

sfxmum, couldn't agree with you more on the talent show thing, actually.

Highlander · 21/02/2008 17:00

DS1 wanted to know if David wasa boy or girl

Mercy · 21/02/2008 17:46

When I was a child we had a programme called 'Junior Showtime' - never made me aspire to being a talent show contestant(showing my age here, it was only tv approx 38 years ago)

Fwiw I don't really like the programme but my dc do.

Tutter · 21/02/2008 19:08

ds1 likes it
