I can’t find the BGT thread so starting one here. Just catching up on tonight’s episode. The dancing duo were so mediocre. Shame on Bruno for changing his mind, he should have stuck to his original decision.

BGT should be for over 16s. Do a junior one without the huge audiences and drawn out drama of the judges votes etc. Olivia seemed very alone until Ant held her hand. I also found her reaction to winning a bit odd, either she didn't understand what was going on or the whole thing was too big and overwhelming for her to process.

I was saying this watching it last night. Too many kids and too many sob stories. Also too many singers and none of them as good as those on the voice or X factor.

In general, I'm finding a number of the acts less good than their auditions.
Any acts where they need loads more people on stage, or OTT graphics distracts me from the acts.
The young girl singing from Frozen looked lovelier in her audition than in the frilly thing, the girls from India had too many graphics, the music-magician had just turned into a magician.
The ukelele singing teacher was good, but the music was louder than the voice so it was hard to catch the words - I wanted her to go through.

I've been struggling with that too, the music is either louder than the singers, or the scenery and graphics detract from them - a prime example was the Bollywood group, the graphics behind them were way OTT and they almost got lost in them. The male singer the first night was drowned out by the music on the lower notes.

I'm another who's sick of the sob stories. I think that's why I was drawn to Nathan and Joanne, he was a cracking little performer, but their intro didn't harp on about the fact he has downs. His joy for performing showed through as well.

The audience screaming and shouting while the judges bottle decide who to pick out the top 2 doesn't help

Viggo is on now and I’m not finding it funny at all. Could be cos I can’t hear it but it’s just not funny to me

If you watch at 8pm there are subtitles but those live types, where the writing is delayed by a few seconds.

Not sure if that would be any better.

Glad it's not just me who's finding A & A's laughs really really fake!

Bruno is driving me up the wall, he's so OTT

Simon is good, but seems to have turned soft - it was better when he was Mr Mean - I don't think he'd have been so kind to some of these 10 years ago!

Sneering at Lewis for being cringe was so ironic when they then go and immediately gold buzz a group who rammed down our throats how they're all about equality and diversity!! The cynic in me says they s**t on him so they could big them up even more!

Bruno has annoyed me from the first episode when he pressed the golden buzzer in the middle of the kids dancing.

He is not stupid ...he knows the gold paper comes down .

To do that in the middle of an performance....let alone kids dancing and could be off putting and making the stage a bit slippy is unprofessional I think .

I’m just catching up. Olivia has an amazing voice for an 11 year old. I’m not a fan of child performers but she did a great two auditions tbf to her. She obviously has vocal coaching but…. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The only acts I don’t like are dance acts. They do nothing for me. Apologies to all the dance mums 😬

Im watching the girl doing “Firework” now. Don’t like her. She doesn’t have a voice to impress (or the personality).

I think Travis was better than Olivia (obviously he's older so has more voice) however stop trying to get the sympathy vote

Notorious were dull seen it all before not diversity level if I can recall

Dylan and Travis may split voters as aren't they fairly similar?
