I can’t find the BGT thread so starting one here.

Just catching up on tonight’s episode.

The dancing duo were so mediocre. Shame on Bruno for changing his mind, he should have stuck to his original decision.

I like Viggo! I actually think it's old school variety.

Lillianna is amazing. Already a world champion. To be fair, most of them have 'already had their opportunity '. Musa is a professional dancer, Viggo does Edinburgh, Lillianna is a brand ambassador and champion dancer. Etc.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2023 17:19

I don’t watch the royal variety anyway so I won’t be watching it.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2023 17:27

My favourite winner ever so far has to be Spellbound. I thought they were fantastic

Rowthe · 05/06/2023 17:56

I think Viggo is really good at what he does and has obviously spent a lot of time honing his skills.

I checked his twitter.

Hes been doing shows as a clown for years, he even does a clown workshop,.and made a movie- very small scale with a fellow clown.

His comedy is the physical kind.

Hes really good at what he does, so makes it look effortless. It may look like hes just taking off Hi- Viz jackets but it takes skill to keep an audience interested and entertained.

So despite people saying or thinking hes put no effort into this, hes obviously spent hours over the years honing his acts just like the other contestants.

Doesnt Ken Dodd just have a brush of some kind?

Sure hes been on the Royal Variety.

King Charles will be used to acts like Viggo

They days of a genuinely talented random turning up for a bgt audition has long gone.

Riverlee · 05/06/2023 21:02

@Flapjacker48 That’s so true. In early BGT, you genuinely thought it gave the guy on the street a chance of success - think Paul Potts, the first winner, worked in a mobile phone shop if I recall. Now most acts are semi-professional (and have probably been invited onto the show).

ArcaneWireless · 05/06/2023 21:13

Well done Ant 👍🏼

Ye did a nice thing there.

Think that's very true. Exactly the same happened on the X Factor. A friend's daughter has a fantastic voice and she was invited to 'audition'. When she refused, they kept contacting her; sensibly she continued resisting.

Riverlee · 06/06/2023 09:43

The same for The Voice as well.

Thegoodbadandugly · 06/06/2023 12:17

I don't like the way the press are sharing the thumb story that boy is going to be absolutely mortified.

Found out earlier that Tom Ball is performing on the cruise I'm booked on in 2 weeks! Booked to see him!

LifeIsPainHighness · 06/06/2023 15:52

Tom Ball has done very well in the US apparently!

BGT contestants seem to do a lot of cruises. We saw BGT winner Jon Courtney on our cruise last year!

Is he not teaching any more??

RicciardoPerez · 06/06/2023 19:30

Oh maybe not? That's a shame.

LIZS · 06/06/2023 19:37

@Elderflower14 Not that I can see.
