I can’t find the BGT thread so starting one here.

Just catching up on tonight’s episode.

The dancing duo were so mediocre. Shame on Bruno for changing his mind, he should have stuck to his original decision.

He’s a local lad and a good friend of my DD. I can’t believe he sung the same song twice! He’s so much better than that.

A gentle giant with a heart of gold and an amazing talent that he didn’t show tonight.

Still he can demand twice the fee from his agent, now his poster will depict him as “Travis. As featured on BGT”.

Sorry Travis. I’m disappointed with your performance tonight. Have faith in yourself. You are amazing!

I’m sure he is equally disappointed in himself. However, to be on the televised episodes of BGT won’t do him any harm 👍

I can’t believe Johns Boys were ousted in favour of an 11 year old 😳 But BGT is what it is. I very rarely agree with the judges 🫣 I agree with Simon re Travis tonight though.

Not the same song. Same show, same character, same key. I’m not impressed with his performance tonight either. It seems Travis has a new manager. The same manager who flooded his fb page with that girl who was on the voice. She didn’t last long on the circuit. Too young. Too boring. No personality or stage presence.

Travis could have done so much better if he didn’t rely on the advice of someone who knows nothing.

I have no doubt that Travis will make it on his own once he finds his confidence and self worth and realises he doesn’t need anyone else.

I will continue to show up and support him at our local club because he’s worth listening to. Travis will make it when the time is right for him and not before.

I agree about Johns Boys too. Gutted!

Musa I think. Can’t have that reaction at auditions and in the semi from the audience for it not to be I don’t think.

I'd be open to having the semis split by act type e.g. semi one is singers, 2 is dancers, 3 is magic etc

Least then we'd get a bit of everything in the final and it would be the best of the singers gets through, the best of the dancers etc rather than who was best in their heat

Tonight's looks a very hard one, some of these should have been last night which was weaker

I think Malakai will go straight through

I liked Duo Odyssey and Kimoon Do but I don't know if the public will pick them they seem to keep picking dancers and singers

Chickenshed again another dance/singing type group but can see them getting top 3 and the judges rooting for them

The cat intrigued me too, but again will the public take to it and will it work live?

OK so I’m going to have a rant now about the dance act Simon put through on the extra golden buzzer.

The fawning and gushing over the sob stories by the judges was embarrassing. And the messages were ridiculous. “My gender does not define me, I will not be labelled”. FGS - you can un-label yourself all you want (though ironically you’ve just levelled yourself with that very statement) we can still see your Adam’s Apple.

And the “it’s so hard to be a gay couple in this day and age” part. Today is the most progressive time to live in as a lesbian. Try being my friend who came out 20 years ago and wouldn’t have dreamed of holding her girlfriend’s hand! Everywhere I go now I see gay couples are ten a penny, holding hands, kissing etc. it’s great the world has moved on but I find it annoying they’re using it as a sob story as I just don’t think anybody gives a shit let alone represses them. I just find it offensive to insinuate the world has never moved on.

The dancing was also mediocre.

While we’re at it - why do they HAVE to give out the extra golden buzzers when it’s entirely in their power to put any act through to the live shows?

I agree with you. I hate sob stories at the best of times, but both of those were pathetic. I expect everyone has something sad / different about them they could use as a sob story if they wanted to. I've got more respect for people who keep their home lives out of it.

I am so sick and tired of all the sob stories - I don't think they should be allowed to use them, just say who you are and what you do - their backgrounds shouldn't be allowed to influence the selections. Let them all be judged purely on their act

The only gold buzzers I really agreed with were Musa and Malakai

I think Unity (cringe) are on their own as a gold buzzer whereas tonight we have 3 - why couldn't one have been moved to tomorrow?

It feels the judges are VERY much pushing Ghetto kids. Who were ok, but I don't think they were as good as their audition. Yet last night the judges were really bigging them up

That's why I really liked Nathan and Joanne - they didn't keep harping on about him having downs, I thought they were great. Yet they didn't get through.

Last night Travis pleading with how the audience are saving him when the judges criticised him. The audience don't help when the judges are deciding, and I think they do influence them.

It's starting to feel like to get through you need to have a sob story or be part of an agenda/hot topic.

I don't think the group Simon gold buzzed were diversity standard which is the level I hold dance groups to.

They should just have the small clip of them before, no sob stories allowed e.g. I'm X I dance which I've been doing for X years. My day job is X and then just go and perform

That's why I'd quite like a semi based on act category. Then the best of the dancers go through etc.

I don't like him, I don't dislike him, but I don't care if I ever see Bruno again. Why was he picked as a judge? He's quite dull and boring and also weird and annoying. I'd rather see Walliams back tbh. Never thought I'd hear myself say that TBH!
