I think she deserves so much more than Cam. I would guess she is better educated and from a different social background. They have little in common and I imagine the home stay will reinforce that. And then there’s the mother from hell.

Alyssa is only concerned about how SHE feels.

Duncan is too scared to tell her how he feels, because if he does she bites his head off and twists the situation to try and make him the look like bad guy.

She wants everything to be about how he treats her and has zero introspection around her own behaviour.
