I agree which is very sad for us but I think a good thing for him! Gary very defensive and seemed to be on damage control. Think the younger stews/deckies were great this season,

I hope Gary doesn’t come back & that Colin does. I was ambivalent about Gary in previous seasons but he showed himself to be a total prick in this last one. It was all about him & his neediness which are very unattractive qualities.

We enjoyed the drama of Gary in the first couple of series and the “oh Gary 🙄” reaction he brought out in us, but this series he was grade A arsehole.

Part 2 is a hard watch in places. Daisy very emotional but I felt for her more than I thought I would and think we saw a different (slightly harder) side to Colin. Possibly not the angel we think he is..Gary still an idiot! Bring on the next season

Having watched part 2 of the reunion, I think Colin came across as quite genuine but yes, he did seem a bit hard and slightly dismissive of Daisy’s feelings, which is probably a bit of a contradiction.
Gary clearly couldn’t take what he knew Mads was going to say, hence leaving his spot. He’s like a man child and he really needs to watch the season back to see how much of a prick he was at times.
I would be extremely surprised if Colin returns if there’s a season 5.

Gary will be back having listened to Glenn's advice & watched back the Season he will suddenly realise how he comes across & be determined to change his ways. Or so he will say

Gary’s screw the crew shtick is getting old so if he does come back he’s going to have to take a different approach. Haven’t watched reunion but would quite like all three of them to come back for one more series just to see how awkward it is 😬 can some summarise the Colin/Daisy situation at the reunion? I can’t watch them, they make me feel so uncomfortable!

Just watched part to and quite a lot to unpack in the Colin Daisy situation. I’ll attempt a time line but I’m not 100% on it.

After season 2 (possibly the last night?) Colin told Daisy if he was single he she would be the one he would be interested in.
After Season 3 on a drunken night (possibly the last night again) Colin told Daisy he would like to kiss her
Colin and his GF break up
Before filming Colin and Daisy kiss (3 different occasions?)
Colin is also hooking up with a girl on his boat but tells Daisy about her and vice versa.
Daisy pulls back so they go on to the show not really together.
They get together and we see what we see.
Post season they try to make it work for a few months with Colin flying Daisy to various places he is and him visiting her in New York. He keeps questioning the Gary thing, they argue. She questions about the girl on the boat and he says he will never go there again even if not with Daisy.
They keep arguing and Colin ends it.
Colin gets together with the other girl.
Daisy finds out they are together via BDSY crew

I think Daisy has a right to be mad about the girl and liken it to the Gary situation however it is different when all three of you are on a boat together and they are flirting in front of him.
She also went a bit too dramatic with some things and not rational. You could see she was overwhelmed by internet comments and was taking them literally. She accused Colin of flirting with Ileisha and compared it to her and Gary. No one backed her up on this.

I think it must be super shitty for her to know that Colin is with this girl but she couldn’t talk about much in a level headed manner like she usually can in other season and reunions. And I could see Colin’s point that you couldn’t reason with her because she would frequently go off into over dramatic, not fact based “I’m just a massive slut” whilst crying and not really listening. But she is clearly in a really hard place with the two of them and has been for such a long time and it’s taking a lot of things to heart of what is being said. I think it shows why her head has not been clear even at the beginning of the season.

But she also said when talking about Gary harassing her stews, it wasn’t ok for Juniors to go and kiss in uniform but she had earned the right as a chief stew. I think she would have been much better going with the narrative that Gary just harasses them non stop!

Yup! All of the pre season stuff was a revelation!

Defo see both sides and I don’t think one person is at fault. But Daisy is really wearing it very heavily both on the show and after.

Oh and Gary said he never watched the show back and all said he should so he can learn from it. He was awful in the reunion. Just a dick and muppeting about for attention. I’m sure he has watched previous seasons because of the things he said at reunions you had to have seen stuff but this one probably avoided because he knew he was awful.

Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but I thought Gary redeemed himself, a bit, on the reunion shows. I think he will try to do better.

Seriously, this reunion show pissed me off! Daisy got more shit in that one reunion show about her behaviour than Gary has every got over every season! Just highlights the double standards between men and women! I did find the added info about him flirting with the chef a bit weird! Sad to think there might be a whole new crew next year!

I thought the rest of the crew seemed genuinely sympathetic to the Daisy, Colin, Gary situation and have the full story.

Yes! Alex on winter house will be interesting. I do enjoy a crossover although hated when Sandoval was there. He stuck out like a try hard sore thumb.

I saw a photo on Insta earlier of Colin, Daisy & Gary together with a comment about them still being friends. I’m hoping it wasn’t taken prior to season 4 and that it’s recent but I’m just not sure.

Someone said in TikTok that they are filming season 5 now and that’s why Gary and Daisy are in Spain so it looks like they are both back and Colin is not.

I'll read up on all the reunion comments when I've watched it at the weekend (planning a hangover...it'll be ideal!) but ugh, Gary and Daisy again? There must be more bloody crew out there!!

Watching ep 2 of down under and can't wait for these guests to go, shame a shark didn't get the swimmers in ep 1...

I’m on holiday for a few weeks but looking forward to a BDAus binge when I return. Although I do have it out here im already trying to keep up with Love island as my hour of tv in the morning!

Sorry a bit late to the party as have just watched the reunions. Is anyone as perplexed at the behaviour of people in their mid to late 30s as I am? I guess things are different on a boat but if a guy is so overly flirty and gropey with their mate's love interest in real life, there would be at least words! And then Colin is sleeping with one of his boat crew as well as Daisy and it's all OK because they both know about it. Why can't they all just pick a side and give it a chance to work. No wonder any of them can't have an actual relationship...they're perpetually hedging their bets. Daisy - I kind of feel sorry for her but she's her own worst enemy. Why does no one call Gary out on being sleazy and disloyal??? Agh

Isn't that the mystery around Gary. ....how does he get away with it. Which is why we all cheered when the producer butted in this series!!!

I think he's a childish bully and for some reason Captain Glenn will do anything to protect him. I really disliked his poor management of Chase and Alex and pitting them against each other. Gary even admitted that he couldn't tell Alex off because he was too good looking and tbf he did admit in the reunion that he got it wrong about Chase.

I find BD fascinating as I think people's backgrounds/family/values really show through. Those who are more secure in themselves are able to swerve the controversies. I feel that Gary is always just chasing popularity.

Watching Below Deck Down Under and loving that 2 episodes each week are being shown. I’m really not liking Laura though, she clearly thinks she’d be a better chief stew, is so inconsiderate of everyone else when she’s getting ready, clearly thinks she’s entitled to turn up late for her shifts and not bothered that Aesha and Margot are covering her duties and don’t get me started on her hunger for a man and her very inflated opinion of herself.
