What did you all make of what Margot said after Cap offered her the 3rd stew job? It sounded to me like she said she is going to take time out for herself and take it from there.

yes, sounded like Margot was going to have a bit of a break to me as well. I'd definitely be nipping off to Thailand with Cap Jason given half the chance.

Just watched this on an ipad with headphones in so I think I missed a few bits but just as I was getting to like Joao, he became a bit of a dick again, that said, I thought he seemed genuine in his chat thing, I think he’s been badly hurt in his past and his attitude is reactive.

Jamiee, I think she’s a cow stringing Culver along, I agree with pp who said it was for the job, I wonder if it ever came through?

Jason is the best captain, did anyone else notice he slipped an envelope to the primary for the dress that Jamiee burnt with the iron? What a great thing to do. Jason & Aesha have such a brilliant relationship and he’s such a fabulous boss.

To be honest after what Margot went through I think she needed to take time to herself to heal.

I also clocked cap giving the guest money and I thought it was so kind of him, especially confirming to the guest it wouldn’t come out of her share if the tip

Tzarina is bashing Joao on tik tok. Calling him toxic and manipulative.
Jaimee is saying she did like Culver, and said so during the interviews but it wasn't shown. They aren't together now, she has a new boyfriend but says he's a lovely bloke.
I am catching up on Below Deck Sailing yacht and since Alex has referred to Gary as Lord Faarquad, I cannot unsee it.

That first Med episode was chaotic! I don’t know how to feel. Anxious what this boat will do to Tumi as she is so lovely. Luca doing well is great to see.

Also didn’t know southern charm was back so binging three eps!

This is what I was thinking. How on earth could this happen. Surely this is all checked.

I can't remember now but didn't he say he was in the industry for 8 years? That certification is valid for 5 years and it's a two day course for the refresher. So no way could he do the on another boat in a day. But he looked super nervous and a bit shady from the start imo.

I think this will turn out to be quite a dramatic season.

@isthismylifenow I also thought it was a bit weird when his friend died. I thought he might use it as an excuse to not get his original certificates posted. His behaviour was so shady.

Yeah I wonder if that was actually him being told that something about getting g replacement fakes.

If his best friend did die too that’s awful timing.

It all feels shady. I wonder if it’s set up? Sandy was weird with him when she first met him, like overly nice. I thought she was acting like she had a crush on him which in itself felt fake.

Just found his insta post about it in an article.

I don’t believe the certificate stuff he says here but he gives me the vibe of a hapless teenager that never grew up.

So he bribed someone to extend his certificate. And he didn't have an original anyway. As the original had expired.

He knew he wouldn't get away with it, hence him leaving. Remember Cap Sandy asked if she should return the certificates when they got there, to which he said they weren't sent, the friend was 'far away'.

He may have worked on smaller vessels previously and they were not so strict about checking these things, but the long and the short of it is that he was not in possession of the correct licences, so why on earth chance it by going onto such a big boat AND on a TV show.

Unless this is all some big plot for the show. I doubt anyone would risk their career this badly for a show though.

Now I wonder who the new bosun will be. Can we take bets on Joao? 😀. Although he is a First Officer, but so many of this crew have been on before in previous seasons, so it's possible.
