Was Alyssa really drunk? It was that kind of self-sabotaging drunken behaviour ie 'give me attention!' ; 'don't give me attention!'; 'spend time with me!' ; 'no, I can't arrange to spend time with you tomorrow!'

Lyndall was annoying me tonight too. She kept sitting with boys. It was as though she wasn't giving Cam a minute. And then when Bronte asked if she thought she was being manipulated, Lyndall threw the question back to her.

I wish the retreat was finished. All the bad behaviour and fake drama is exhausting.

Alyssa was lying to the girls about Duncan, he didn’t do anything terrible. And to say he isn’t type, he’s EVERYONES type, including most heterosexual males, even DH is taken with him!

Brontë is reminding me of the Manson family cult girls, and her hair has been ironed so flat now it falls like uncooked linguine. I can’t stop seeing it.

Bronte reminds me of Magica De Spell Magica

Brontes red eyes one second, fine the next and back to red two seconds later in cut aways are a big give away to how we are all being tricked and manipulated by the way they edit the shit out of group discussion scenes, manipulating the way people seem to be reacting to one another etc.

This is my first time watching MAFS and have just binged the whole series over 2 weeks. Just have yesterday to catch up on.

It’s annoying me so much, why aren’t the ixperts picking Tayla up on her behaviour more? She admitted in her intro video that she’s “broken people” and that her unwillingness to compromise ever is a massive issue and that she needs to change. So why are they allowing her to abuse Hugo? She’s a cunt pure and simple. She shouldn’t be allowed air time.

Bronte is just hanging on for some airtime - probably to promote her beauty business. She's coming across as really lame through which must annoy her. And she and Harrison have clearly decided that in order to be successful and keep themselves relevant they need to whisper at commitment ceremonies like that hideous sulky woman last year. Unfortunately everyone else sees through the tactics.

The problem with being a blissfully happy Stepford wife is that you get no airtime. The happy couples are on and off the sofa in two seconds. So Bronte and Harrison have to insert themselves into other people's lives to get coverage. What they hadn't factored in is that this year has some very strong, supportive women. Instead of being blown away by B&H's happy ever after, they're telling B to run which makes her look like an idiot. If the women won't back off, B is going to have to opt for a delayed awakening to how awful H is.
I did laugh when she was arguing to camera that she wasn't naive ... whilst misunderstanding the meaning of the word - which showed her naivety.

As for editing, always assume that cutaways were filmed at a different time. Some will be genuine but the producers will also have asked them all to do a range of expressions to camera so they can slot them in whenever they like.

Re Alyssa & Duncan, I don't get why she would say such stupid lies on camera when everyone will see what a psycho-bitch she is when watched back. Or is it all some heavily manipulated editing? Her going off on one was so out of the blue, it was bizarre!

I’m confused over Lyndall and Cam, as she hangs out with him but they’ve just completely lost that coupleness, she walked off the sofa like she was done. I think Jesse and Claire and Lyndall and Cam are friendship, and the producers are asking them to stay to keep couple numbers up.

Harrison blaming Evelyn and Rupert for Dan leaving… no that’s his behaviour that’s caused that mate! You’re not there for bromances!

Saw someone mention about Lyndall reversing the question of manipulation back to Brontë, but that’s what you do when you agree with the point but don’t want to alienate the person.

I am just catching up with these threads, they don’t disappoint

Few observations:

• why does Lyndall always have that half disgusted/half shocked look on her face?
• Bronte is definitely only staying for the blue tick/only fans account
• LOVE Mel and Evelyn (and didn’t like either of them at their weddings)
• what the hell is Alyssa playing at? One minute she is hugging Duncan saying how romantic the retreat was and then drunk crying about how awful he is 🤷‍♀️
• can’t wait for the reunion when they show everyone the clip of Hugo being forced to sleep on a window sill

I agree with all of this. What I really like is how Evelyn and Mel could be wary of each other as they're very similar but actually they get on really well and admire each other. I really like Layton (although I guess we may see another side to him on tonight's episode)- is anyone else confused as to why we've never seen them argue when each week at the cc they talk about how they're always arguing? What's going on there??? I could actually see that Layton might be Evelyn's type too.

Alyssa I'm assuming is a bad drunk and has also got scared about the reality of introducing her child etc. Although she's a bit of a nightmare I think she's just scared and probably thinks it's all just too good to be true.

Poor Sandy. She was treated dreadfully. She came across the most empathetic and loyal of all the women this year and she deserved much much better. I think she should have been paired with Duncan who is also a kind soul. They'd have had gorgeous babies.

Yes I agree. It’s refreshing to see 2 strong, no nonsense women that aren’t bitchy and competitive with each other.

I’m actually really enjoying watching the women call people out on their bad behaviour. That’s something that is severely lacking on shows like LI and is a breath of fresh after seeing the likes of Olivia and Tanya acting appallingly shady with no consequences.
