Characters don’t have to live on the street to be main cast. Audrey has lived at Grasmere Drive since before Alfie died, no reason for them all to be crammed in to the too small houses.

I had a bit of a binge last night (on Corrie, not just in general) and was actually enjoying it more than usual up until Friday’s episode. Every time Justin’s barrister asked ridiculously unprofessional questions about Daisy’s behaviour I just kept thinking why neither she or Ryan or the opposing counsel didn’t just say “It doesn’t matter if she’s a saint or a manipulative trollop - it’s not relevant to the fact that he threw acid at her”!!! (Guessing “manipulative trollop” isn’t a term enshrined in law, but still.)

The prosecution should have objected, the judge should have asked for clarification on the line of questioning… then we eventually get the elaborate theory that it was actually all a set-up and Ryan accidentally poured cleaning fluid all over himself 🙄🙄🙄 Surely there would be some forensic witness who could show that wouldn’t cause those kind of injuries?

Yep, that’s right. Cilla shagged some young bloke on her hen night and almost got caught by Les, who was still drunk from the stag, so Cilla passed him off as her son. Cue Les looking confused when he met the real son the wedding day, but brushing it off as drunkenness.

I think he’d be a good character to resurrect. He’d need a name change so that we didn’t have two Billys (Will?) Maybe he could have married a woman with “notions” about herself, which would explain why he hadn’t been in touch with his embarrassing common relatives in years. Then they could move into Victoria Court and the wife could be aghast when Chesney turns up at their housewarming and Gemma stuffs her gob full of posh vol-au-vents saying “Ey, they’re alright, these little pies ain’t they?”, spluttering pastry all over the marble effect flooring.

I've given this too much thought, haven’t I?

And Justin was not quizzed at all. A half decent barrister would have ripped it to pieces.

Any one of us would have ripped it to pieces. Perhaps there's a reason why we weren't shown Justin being cross-examined by the prosecution. But for the moment I can only assume it was to annoy the hell out of anyone with half a brain.

There are so many witnesses to collaborate Daisy's harassment

e.g. at the wedding fayre or in the pub

Why wasn't Craigie called etc

This portrayal of a court is so absurd it is irresponsible.

What will actually happen is the barrister will say something triggering, Justin’s facade will slip and he’ll leap from the dock and try to attack Daniel and start screaming “I love you Daisy!!! Why don’t you understand?!?!”
