I don’t really believe in Billy and Paul as a couple. I can see them having a fling if Billy fancied a bit of rough, but a long-term relationship? I can’t see it.

Mind you, given Billy’s previous boyfriends were Todd and Sean, his type seems to be “gay and lives on Coronation Street”.

I know people often get romantically involved with people of other religions but he is an Archdeacon and I would have thought he may go go someone who shared his beliefs. He has never dated anyone who is Christian.

The church also seems remarkably tolerant of him shacking up with his latest boyfriend, they even promoted him.

My friend told me yesterday the actors who played Billy and Daniel were a couple and recently split up.

The C of E allows gay clergy, as long as they are celebate. And I can't imagine they would actually check!

I'm not sure how busy an Archdeacon would be though, they don't have their own Church as such so don't write sermons etc. But I think they oversee a few churches and make sure canon law is being followed.
At least that's my understanding. I could be totally wrong.
