Welcome to the 3rd thread.

No arguments! No spoilers (including sharing what the whole of the internet says when it isn't based on any of your own deductions...). Flippancy and jest entirely welcome!

I predict the unmasking of obscure and disappointing Americans is imminent.

I thought Jellyfish sounded like Florence from Florence and the Machine for a moment.

JaneJeffer · 29/01/2023 12:35

Football programme with Wayne Rooney
Did Strictly
Guinness World Record for driving an ice cream van
Drove DeLorean on Top Gear - top 10 programme
DJ on Rock FM
etc.
Phoenix is Paddy McGuinness!

Raahh · 29/01/2023 12:37

This is really frustrating- and we have to wait a week!

Paddy McGuinness didn't do Strictly.
He might have read out the terms and conditions one time.

JaneJeffer · 29/01/2023 12:47

But he did Dirty Dancing with Keith Lemon so close enough for me

Beketaten · 29/01/2023 14:21

Paddy McGuiness fits the Phoenix catchphrase clue with "No likey, no lighty". And of course Phoenix Nights (too obvious?)

Fiona Shaw played a witch on True Blood, there were witchy clues for Otter. She was recently in Andor, so looking out for any Star Wars clues.

Jacket Potato I still think sounds like Shane Richie, will be mad if it's a real rock star.

CockSpadget · 29/01/2023 15:22

The catchphrase of his name that was phoenix clue, is “Rickyyyyyyyy” a la eastenders
it’s Ricky Wilson.

Beketaten · 29/01/2023 15:55

Oh yeah, it was "my name became a catchphrase", not just that they're associated with a catchphrase.

TinselAngel · 29/01/2023 16:47

This makes me think David Tennant can't sing as well as Phoenix

WhoseThatBehindTheFlask · 29/01/2023 17:29

I'm having to watch on catch up here so I am beind you all.

Pheonix: Rylan

tbc....

WhoseThatBehindTheFlask · 29/01/2023 17:44

Jellyfish: Michelle Visage
Otter: Mel G.

Whyisitdarkalready · 29/01/2023 17:54

I think Phoenix might be Jake Quikenden. He did dancing in ice, and the full monty strictly on ice special. He is tall.

I thought it was Shane Richie in JP but, the clues are overwhelmingly pointing at it being Richie Sambora, especially the guitar playing they hinted at in next weeks show.

Knitting is 100% Claire from steps.

I thought Jellyfish could be Alesha Dixon.

JaneJeffer · 29/01/2023 18:00

What about Victoria Justice for Fawn?

bananamilkshakes · 29/01/2023 18:02

Motsi mabuse for jellyfish?

WhoseThatBehindTheFlask · 29/01/2023 18:08

Fawn: Natalie Appleton

WhoseThatBehindTheFlask · 29/01/2023 18:20

Jacket Potato: Richie S. Based on all the clues pointing to Bon JOvi but it still not sounding enough like Jon Bon Jovi.

(or Shane Ritchie Grin)

MaskedFan · 29/01/2023 18:20

I actually think Katherine Ryan should have won, she hid her voice so well. Very few people had any idea it was her. As annoying as pigeon was, she played the game well.
I feel the others are obvious and are no surprise but maybe they are masquerading and there will be a surprise. I'm sticking with,
Phoenix Ricky Wilson
Jellyfish Amber Riley
Jacket potato Ritchie Sambora
Rhino Charlie Simpson
Knitting Claire Richards

Otter and fawn I can't quite decide

JaneJeffer · 29/01/2023 18:27

If she had won it would just have made me hate pigeons even more than I already do.

Raahh · 29/01/2023 18:29

I thought Stephen Hendry was a bit of a shock one- a lot of people guessed a snooker player- mostly likely Steve Davis- but Hendry did well to sound quite different.

Piggywaspushed · 29/01/2023 18:34

Ahem, a lot of people?? Or just yours truly...

Raahh · 29/01/2023 18:36

GrinPiggy ok, maybe just you.

And you were very convincing.

I don’t think so, it’s in a bad state according to this article: www.theguardian.com/music/2022/dec/15/tragedy-steps-singer-lisa-scott-lee-all-saints-church-harrow-weald
