A novel storyline would be an informative one on terminations and Lily being able to resume her normal 12 Yr old life.

Yes, but this is EE where they love babies and the birthing dramas and family feuds and let's all forget real life of the sleepless nights and money woes and teething and the horror of potty training and nits and just the hum drum of bringing up children. Mostly , like Kim's two , are pretty much forgotten once they start to grow up a bit

I shed a tear last night. Lily's story brought back flashbacks. I was a teen mum but not as young as Lily but young. All the fears and worries about what everyone will think sigh memories.

Kim was wonderful and when she does her ' posh voice ' I'm reminded just how she is in real life ( nothing like Kim in her tv interviews I mean , I don't know the actress myself )
Jay was nice with Honey too ; her faux pas's are funny ! She has obviously messed up the audit I think.
The brides or grooms never show up on time at these venues on EE. Although going to a germ ridden hospital in a white wedding dress is a very bad idea!

I agree that this is far too big a decision for a 12 year old but the alternative is frog marching her off for a termination. How do you find the balance?

Kim is excellent. She often does step up like that in times of need though I think. There are depths to that shallow exterior!

Agree with both pp. Her acting wasn't great imho. And her face looked strange. There was a line on the left side of her mouth (right side when looking at her) which I found odd.

I was convinced she had been in EE before I had to wiki her to find out ! She isn't the best actress but she's inoffensive hopefully it's not a long stint.

To date, I don't think they are handling the Lily storyline very well at all. I know EE has its public service/educational remit to try and cover and so is trying to present balanced arguments for the different options that Lily has available to her, but it is showing all the adults as being really irresponsible. I think someone else posted further upthread that everyones messed up experiences are the only thing that seems to be informing what advice they are giving. Kat, Stacey and Martin all have a very skewed opinion on this subject. I know Sonja had a baby young, but I feel like as the new wise dot Cotton on the square that she should be stepping in as the responsible adult.

Jack is 100% unbearable now - literally no redeeming qualities at all, just nothing. Awful husband, awful father, awful at his job, no fun, not likeable in any way. And I dont even think the fella playing him is a very good actor (Scott somebody?) - I really think this character has run its course now. Wish him and Alfie would bugger off.

They’ve made him into such and out and out Neanderthal so rapidly. He was always a bit of a nothing character to me anyway but he makes me want to switch off. You’ve got to feel for the actor in a way that he has been gifted such crappy writing.

I think Jack's response is actually quite realistic TBH. He's not a man who's blessed in the empathy department or good at dealing with emotional situations he has no experience of. I suspect it's very realistic for him to be OTT about the thought of someone sleeping with his "baby girl" and his blaming of Lily - he thinks his children are perfectly behaved and likely to be the victims in this sort of thing. It's not a great reaction at all but I think it is a realistic one for a lot of father (and probably a few mothers too).

Im on the fence about how they are handling Lily's situation. Even though I think she has to have a termination I don't see how they can make her. I mean, you can't frogmarch someone off and insist it's done can you? I'm not sure trying to push her into it would work either. I would certainly do my utmost to persuade a 12 year old to terminate but I don't know how I'd deal with it really.
