Would you recognize your mum if they left you aged only 3 or 4? I'm assuming her mum didn't keep in touch with Lola or send photos or whatever and people age , dye their hair , might have glasses now , be fatter or thinner than before etc etc.
The mother of Billy's son who died, she was in it
for a little while. Will she also show up too? She was quite nice ( what I can recall !)
Billy didn't keep in touch with her

BrennieGirl · 22/01/2023 15:28

Yes Lola's granny Julie was in it for a while - again according to wiki. I have absolutely no recollection of her though.

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2023 15:52

Julie was in it a while , about 9 months or so ( 2010 to 2011) ( fandom page) she called Billy ' skid mark '
She had a few jobs on the square

I can't see the park on either of the sets.

It's behind Beale's Plaice, which is across from the Albert (behind the big white bridge). Old set only though.

BrennieGirl · 22/01/2023 14:47

Lola is Billy's granddaughter. Her father is dead. All this according to wiki.

This

Her father aka Billy's son is dead

If people find her mum easily why wasn't she found when Billy's son died aka Lola's dad instead of going into care

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 23/01/2023 06:13

Not sure if the reasons Lola was in care were addressed much , but the grand mother Julie was in it for a while and her and Billy both found Lola together ( she was in the middle of a fight at the time at school, which shocked them both a bit !)
I suppose her mum etc must have come up , but I can't remember tbh.

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2023 09:27

Wiki tells me that they found Lola in the care home , not school
She was in a fight though. I do remember this

Would Lily going through with the pregnancy not be risky from a health point of view?

qazxc · 23/01/2023 19:54

Would Lily going through with the pregnancy not be risky from a health point of view?

Yes, pregnancy soon after puberty can mean the hips are too narrow can't it? And being too young to understand how to look after yourself well, advocate for proper care, etc.
However, it's also risky when women are too old and women choose to do that too.

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2023 20:41

I just hope she changes her mind again. 12 is far too young to have a baby imho!

Bunionbabe · 24/01/2023 09:15

What happens about schooling if a 12 year old has a baby? The whole burden and expense will fall on Stacey. I think she should have been much clearer to Lily about the implications of it all. Lily is tall and mature looking for someone of 12.

Mrsjayy · 24/01/2023 09:44

It's quite disturbing that Ee have a 12 year old is considering carrying on with a pregnancy, why did they have Kat have to interfere and have the "heart to heart".

SoupDragon · 24/01/2023 10:09

I don't think they will go through with Lily having the baby.

she is adamant that Ricky is not to know and that no one is to find out that he is the father - that's going to be pretty obvious to him when (if!) she is visibly pregnant so I wonder how that will go.

SoupDragon · 24/01/2023 10:11

I think Lily's indecision is realistic though. She has no idea what it will entail, although with her younger siblings she must have some idea of how hard a baby is). She's too young to have a baby and also too young to make this decision really.

qazxc · 24/01/2023 10:42

I'm worried that the various adults are being influenced by their own traumas/ experiences and confusing Lily more.
As far as I can see nobody has sat down and told her what each option would entail, how can she "make a decision" if she doesn't have the information? Can a 12yr old make a(n informed) decision of this magnitude?

I really hope that the writers do not have a 12yr old keep pregnancy, give birth and for baby to go into magical child cupboard/ not show the realities of the situation.

the80sweregreat · 24/01/2023 10:52

Kat's birth at 14 (or whenever, she was no age ) was horrific ( plus the fact she had twins and didn't know about the boy twin until many many years later on )
The family brought Zoe up as their own, mostly because of the awful circumstances that the babies were conceived in :( it wasn't a pleasant time for any of them. Lots of secrets.
I don't think this would be acceptable to Lily though as she would want to be a hands on mum .. However, the realities of this isn't great. Even though she has younger half siblings and is aware of how children will affect your life etc
I think it's all just mind blowing that she wants to keep the baby at such a young age !

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2023 11:23

Why did kat interfere

She's 12. Can't have a baby

It's a shame she doesn't have a natural
Mc or find at scan no heartbeat

Which I know sounds awful

But then taken out if her hands

Obv had to have the reception in the Vic. Where else lol

Where is Ollie and Annie ?

Patrick behind the bar ?

What about tracey who had the best sex ever with Phil 😂

SoupDragon · 24/01/2023 11:36

I imagine at 12 it's sort of like wanting a puppy or kitten - babies are cute. Lily should have some inkling about the reality of a baby but siblings are not the same as being responsible for your own baby. Plus there's the whole difficult layer of it being a potential person. It's a difficult decision for adults let alone a 12 year old. Especially with Whitney being so delighted with her pregnancy.

No one has sat down and helped her to make an informed decision. Kat is actually the only one who has listened but even she hasn't really helped Lily understand the options.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 24/01/2023 13:02

I am getting so cross with Martin as the heavy handed father. Do the script writers think we have forgotten he is not her father?

SoupDragon · 24/01/2023 13:13

He is far better than her actual father who does fuck all.

She considers him her father anyway.

Mrsjayy · 24/01/2023 15:32

Tbf Martin Is the only dad he's known and although he's been shouting he is just concerned confused and probably frightened, for Lilly.

Mrsjayy · 24/01/2023 15:32

She's known*

SoupDragon · 24/01/2023 15:48

He's continued to be a dad to her even after he and Stacey split. That says a lot in my mind.

Bunionbabe · 24/01/2023 15:57

I think showing a 12 year old child making a lone decision to have a baby 'cos it's the size of s strawberry' puts out the wrong message to other children in Lily's position. They should have shown her having the drug-induced termination, to show that there is a realistic option with a minimum of trauma. They should stop using the term 'abortion' with it's association with surgery.

the80sweregreat · 24/01/2023 16:05

As blonds said, a natural miscarriage would sort out this storyline : although they did this with Bernie (she was further along and that was sad )
All this will do is start a family feud I suppose ;(
I can imagine that Jack will try to persuade her to have a termination , once they all find out it'll be carnage no doubt etc
