Or they could move in together in Walford but not sure how that would work with Ricky having such successful businesses in Germany? <not a spoiler obvs>

They're going to have to bring in some new characters soon surely tho, presumably Alfie is going now (thankfully) and unless a miracle happens Lola will be going soonas well as Ricky and Scarlett, plus Mick, Shirley, Janine, Keerat, Dotty have all gone recently and we've only had Freddie, Nish, (Nish's son (forgot name but Nuggets dad), Nugget and evil Dr lady (who seems to have vanished anyway) come in. Oh and Howie's son I guess - Denzel is it? I'm terrible with names sorry!

Because whatever the circumstances a child under the age of 13 cannot consent to sex, so if a child under 13 has sex it is always rape- a crime has been committed. And as it was discovered at hospital they had a statutory responsibility to inform SS and the police who now have to follow it up.

Similarly because she is under 13 she isn't considered to be Gillick competent or to meet Fraser guidelines, so she legally has no say in her medical treatment and whether she has an abortion won't legally be her decision to make. Morally, of course it should be, but that's not what the law states.

Also @VivienneDelacroix - thanks for the legal info, very interesting and very sad too! I presume this is what the 'never been done before' could be? The fact that Lily is only 12 plus/or maybe the issue of consent wrt a termination, but it's going to be awful to watch if Lily wants to keep the baby and she's forced to terminate

Nish has not turned out to be a very interesting character. They need to bring in something new or it’s going to get boring very quickly. Suki and eves relationship needs to go up a gear with Nish finding out and battering someone

There have been more leaving than coming in lately : maybe new people might appear, but at the moment it is a bit sparse.
Maybe Alfie might hang around though?
They might find they need his income at the Slaters for the rent , although what he does for money is a mystery and he owes Phil 30 k and sold his boat.
He was working in the Vic , he might get a job there if L ever returns.

No one would surely choose Phil if he didn't have money. He's not exactly a charmer (either looks or personality) & he certainly doesn't make any woman laugh!

If you watch older episodes of EE, Phil was quite easy on the eye back in the day. His personality has also changed as back in the day Grant was the psycho and he was the “reasonable” almost nice one.

But yes, I’ve also said before blondes that his skills in a certain department can now be only one reason all these women are lining up for him🤢

Someone like Ian being able to ensnare women as attractive as Mel and Cindy was completely ridiculous!

Phil is no oil painting true, but Kat isn't exactly a beauty either, she's pretty rough (apologies Jessie) and has an awful history with men so Phil probably is security.

Phil was OK when he was younger but he's always been nasty. He cheated on Grant with Sharon, he was physically and emotionally abusive with Lisa and Kathy (and Ben) and he's now putting Kat's kids at risk as he did with his own many times.

Grant was always the bitter one with ptsd from the Falklands war and pretty horrible to Tiffany too. Both of them have many issues , mainly because of their horrible dad and upbringing

Awful dad and Peggy turning a blind eye to it all when he was beating the crap out off them and pretending everything was ok. I suppose that’s the way it was then in those criminal families.

I think Keeble finally relented when Phil reminded her his dad was actually the cause of the dysfunction and effectively ruined all their lives.

Peggy was afraid of Eric I presume, but she grassed him up in the end to get him away from the children.

I don't think Peggy turned a blind eye to it all. From that flashback episode, I seem to remember she was getting hit and threatened too. I think she stepped in to protect Sam in the episode.

Women like Peggy were expected to do as they were told beating wives and children wasn't unusual she took it till she could take no more.

PEGGY did step In to protect her kids but the boys were expected to be tough and take after Eric, I think Phil took the brunt of Eric.
