I think that Harvey might have just said this to nish to make him feel bad : people do embellish things sometimes
Jean should have realized the CM alarm meant some thing was amiss

I agree - provided the boiler was correctly installed and has been properly serviced, surely the Panesars aren't responsible for the results of the leak? Especially as Nish said they'd provided the alarm for the tenants.

When our smoke alarm loses battery power it beeps a lot , every now and again etc. You need to change them.
There are enough people around for Jean to have asked ' what's that noise ?' and traced it back to the monitor.
Why didn't anyone else hear it too ? She must have taken the battery out at the very first beep !

Our CMD has an expirey date and you can't change the battery when it beeps you have to change the whole thing. My mums is the same.the council change hers .

Mine went off once and I had to call out the gas emergency people , who told me it needed a new battery!
So embarrassing, but they were so good about it all. They came out in less than an hour. Lovely people and didn't make me feel a complete time wasting tool ( I was living here on my own at the time as Dh was away )

Dh used to work for brittish gas they were always being called out so it wasn't just you. Dh used to carry spare batteries.

We had our fireplace checked over and the guy gave us a new one free of charge.

Why oh why didnt Stacey discuss the situation re SS and people getting questioned with Lily? She may well of given permission for Rickys name to be given, in order to put a stop to everyone knowing (presuming it IS Ricky that is!!)

I found tonight's episode so sad throughout. So many tears from the characters. Stacey really needs to speak to Lilly about SS coming in and getting an abortion ASAP imho. I really thought Kat was going to choose Alfie. Then when she didn't, I thought Alfie might want to take the boys!

Anyway. LOL at Keeble simply telling her colleagues “I don’t know who shot me” and that’s the end of it. Case closed and no further investigation into the shooting of a police officer?! And why was Phil begging her to phone “the witness”, he has all the evidence he needed to get the case thrown out of court.

Kat staying with Phil after her son was held at gunpoint is completely ridiculous. She told Sharon she didn’t want Tommy to end up like Dennis (dead) so this makes no sense.

Ironically, I've only just been able to watch tonight's episode as I've spent 4 hours camped in the car as we were evacuated because of a gas leak next door 😂 No carbon monoxide though!

The evidence he had was purely to blackmail Keeble into dropping the case, it would have got it throw out of court I don't think. Plus, he needed to promise to destroy his evidence in order to protect Kat.

I found the scenes with Billy/Lola/Honey/Jay/Will very touching but Kat - really? FFS!

How did keanu deliver keeble to hospital without being seen? Or did they make her call an ambulance on her own phone and then scarper.
If he drove her to the hospital surely there are cameras

be arrested as soon as he walked through the doors with Keeble. Mind you, he clearly had his Invisibility Hoody on as no one spotted him lurking outside her door.

They need the more stable characters that are regular and have grown up on Eastenders to have families instead of the young kids. Get jay and Whitney together or something and have them as a family or something.

I don't understand why social services and the police have to come and speak to everyone in the family and Martin. Wouldn't they be worried about her mental health? Self harm?

That would be lovely @heartbroken22 - I'd love those 2 to get together and live happily in their little gaming unit.

Because whatever the circumstances a child under the age of 13 cannot consent to sex, so if a child under 13 has sex it is always rape- a crime has been committed. And as it was discovered at hospital they had a statutory responsibility to inform SS and the police who now have to follow it up.

Similarly because she is under 13 she isn't considered to be Gillick competent or to meet Fraser guidelines, so she legally has no say in her medical treatment and whether she has an abortion won't legally be her decision to make. Morally, of course it should be, but that's not what the law states.

Kat's a complete idiot. I'm only hoping she's planning to get married and then divorce him for half his house.
