Surely it’s really awkward when Paul goes/wins and we have no idea who he is 😵‍💫😅

@ratatattatt thank you!

I’m on Ep 11 - and if it weren’t for the blatant racism (won’t Spoil) I’d say it was a hundred times better than the UK version. The competitors are better educated and more intelligent - and more interested in playing the game and winning the money than showboating for social media. Epic Ep 9! Only lacks Claudia.

Had to give up on the US one after about 15 painful minutes. Awful. Awful, infantile competitors. AC’s awful manner and surely fake accent. (I was a fan about a hundred years ago when he was first on UK TV.) The repetition from the UK series. Just unwatchable.

Posted too soon - some of them are NEVER on camera e.g. Paul and Craig. I don't think they've ever said more than two words? Surely it can be edited to include some clips of them talking about anything?

I noticed that. I wondered if something dodgy came out post-filming and they've had to minimise their involvement. (NB I haven't watched to the end yet).

We do hear rather more from them towards the end.

Do love that they are less "i love youuuuuuuuu".

And interesting that only one person can win the money? I wonder how that would work if it is all traitors left at the end it whatever.

No, they can agree to share. Also presumably it's possible for two or three faithful to be left at the end (as happened in the UK), in which case surely they would have to share.

Finished.

The ending was … A bit horrible. Very frustrating. But flat, in terms of entertainment. The UK version constructed a better, more celebratory, finale.

I’m at the end of episode 5 so please don’t read if you haven’t seen it

man, isn’t Claire scary?

i just watched Marielle and Nigel explain why they voted out who they did and they look like two scared children facing their principal at school.
she’s not even talking, but her silence makes her look more menacing.

massivesalad one thread gives a link to possible expiations about Paul (the British guy). Apparently there is talk that he works or worked for the FBI or CIA and advisers them on body language. It’s rumoured that the powers that be did not want him talking about the methods they use to camera. That seems to fit with me.
