I wonder if all of the players at least get a token amount? Genuine question. Are the BBC required to pay them for hours spent filming? What about time taken off work to film? Will BBC reimburse the loss of earnings?

Bourneolou · 21/12/2022 22:27

@RupertBare

The personalities do show through. I found Tom vile, and he was a faithful.

Nellodee · 21/12/2022 22:27

I agree as well. Aaron out, then Kieran then Wilf wins. But it will be interesting to see how Kieran defends himself against Wilf. He has some good evidence, like how Wilf always knew who the traitor was, but will anyone want to hear it?

Bourneolou · 21/12/2022 22:28

I never said they were vile for being traitors FFS. Kieran is just an aggressive personality, look at those videos shared of him. Wilf has basically admitted he got rid of the women because he’d prefer to work with a bloke

Bourneolou · 21/12/2022 22:31

And John…also vile

Adeckofcards · 21/12/2022 22:32

Its unfair to tell the faithfuls there were three traitors, and leave them assuming that there is one left as they found two of them. They have to tell them that a new traitor was recruited surely.

Rowthe · 21/12/2022 22:32

AssumingDirectControl · 21/12/2022 22:23

I only like Aaron of those which are left.

What I think will happen is they’ll circle back round to the traitor being a man, they’ll pick Aaron who will tell them he’s faithful, then as Hannah is so stuck on Wilf being faithful and Meryl is easily swayed, they will choose Kieran. Then when he’s revealed as a traitor, they’ll think they’ve done it. And Wilf will take the pot.

I think Wilf will convince Hannah to vote of Meryl as well.

It think it will be just Will and Hannah at the end. Theb they will agree to stop, and Will will betray Hannah.

Penguinsaregreat · 21/12/2022 22:32

Of those left I only like Aaron.
I always forget Hannah is a comedian too. I haven’t heard her say one single funny quip at all.
The traitors will win, unless both Kieran and Wilf throw each other under the bus. Then again Hannah will not banish Wilf and Meryl will just go along with the general consensus.

Claudia has hinted at it, if you listened carefully. But I do think they should be told, clearly, how many there are. Since there was a murder, they wouldn't necessarily realise.

Poor Andrea. I guess it made more sense to leave Maddy and Meryl because they were likely to be voted out and Andrea wasn't.

Did they ever actually tell the faithful how many traitors there were?

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 22:35

It would be so amazing if Kieran and Wilf somehow both betrayed each other and both lost. But this is real life (as in, unscripted). I think I'm going to be left very very dissatisfied.

greenerfingers · 21/12/2022 22:37

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 22:19

I liked Maddy. A bit dim

She has consistently been the only person to see Wilf!

I think a lot of this comes down to accents. They loved Amanda's beautiful accent. They think Maddy is stupid because of hers.

I don't think it's accents in this case. I do agree they have a huge part to play but Maddy comes out with the most ridiculous things and portrays herself to be ditzy. 'He can't be a traitor.. he's got kids'.. so does Will. The way she'd name someone and just go with it, her fixation with Aaron and Meryll over the silliest things. She seems a nice person but not the brightest. Didn't she also ask 'what's nimble mean?'

I mush admit however I keep talking in Amanda's accent throughout the day. When she left I was 'absolutely gutt-ted' Grin

kiwiandcherries · 21/12/2022 22:37

Maybe tomorrow the banished players won't reveal whether they are a faithful or a traitor as they usually would, so they just have to rely on what they think without finding out if they were right or wrong about any??

purpledalmation · 21/12/2022 22:37

Never watched an episode although I have heard about it. Watched the last 10 minutes or so when they were sat round the table and got a better picture of what it's about, although no idea what the 'murder' thing is about?

Anyway, after the discussion between the contestants, I got the two traitors correct. Also knew Maddy wasn't one from her body language. The dark haired traitor gave himself away with a barely noticeable head nod at the wrong time. The other bloke just looked proper shifty! They neither had genuine feelings of sorrow at Maddy going.

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 22:39

Every night the traitors convene and decide who to "murder", ie vote off.

That would be better in deciding how to end the game. Less clues.

But does massively favour the traitors. Which I don't mind really.

ReneBumsWombats · 21/12/2022 22:42

Twitter is pissed off too that they knew it must be a man and still voted Maddy.

I wish they'd stop being personal about it.

I agree Aaron is the only one I really like now. Sadly I think he's toast, though. They'll calm down overnight, realise they didn't banish a man and probably be intimidated/fooled into not banishing Kieran or Wilf.

Kieran didn't look too surprised when he saw Wilf. Even said "fucking knew it". But he never accused him.

No, which is why they sometimes speculate about how many are left…

If people had voted who they genuinely believed was a traitor it would’ve played out very differently indeed. People conform to what the group thinks, and the majority can be influenced by a single individual if that individual is a strong personality. Not because they necessarily agree, but they can’t compute going against the strong personality. It’s psychology 101.

I came on to say this too! Last time they were told that the traitors had attempted to recruit, but because this time there was the recruitment and then an additional murder it was all very under the radar. Claudia told them that there were three traitors in the first episode when she selected them and several times since, so it does feel a little unfair.

Rowthe · 21/12/2022 22:45

I found this episode difficult to watch.

After seeing those videos of Kierom I just felt disgusted by him whenever he was on screen.

Really dont want him to win.

I think at he start Will was just playing to the cameras. He told us yesterday why he chose Kieron- so that the faithful could vote off a male traitor.
So he is just keeping Kieron sweet for the time being.

I think after voting out 2 traitors hes trying to to win Kierons trust, but really just like the other 2 is just waiting to get rid of him.

Kieron really crumbled today. Hes completely different from how he has been. His while demeanor has changed and really isnt coping well with being a traitor. When he turned on Will, Will was probably thinking he had made a huge mistake in picking him.

Will probably has won back a little of Kierons trust, but Kieron seems really unstable since becoming a traitor. I thought he would play it really cool, but he seems really unstable.

Like someone said above, tomorrow I think the attention will turn to a hunt for a male traitor. If they are smart then the male contestants will be voted off, so most likely I think Aaron first.

I'm just wondering if tomorrow when people are voted out if they will announce whether they are traitors or not?

So just being banished and they dont know if they were a traitor or not?

Anyway I think Will is probably regretting choosing Kieron, though he really didnt have much choice, cos he needed to pick a male to throw the suspicions away from himself. Aaron wouldn't have been a good choice.

That little talk he did at the end where he said he need to get Kieron voted out, again I think that was just him playing for the camera, getting Kieron voted out was his game plan the whole time.

QueenOfThorns · 21/12/2022 22:45

Taxistaxing · 21/12/2022 22:26

I thought Maddy handled being voted out with complete dignity.

I agree with this, she handled it very well, I thought. But she was hilarious throughout most of the episode with her u-turn on Aaron and still expecting people to be convinced by her gut feelings about Wilf!

But that's part of the gameplay - when Alyssa was voted out, Amanda and Will tried to recruit Alex, and she announced that to the group. The remaining faithfuls should have considered that with Amanda being voted out, there'd be another recruitment. They don't appear to have discussed this at all - I reckon if it hadn't been Kieran recruited, he might have suggested it as a possibility but the others aren't smart enough.
