Funny, because playing a ditsy persona could be helpful. People might assume you're too dizzy to be a traitor and the traitors might assume you're too dizzy to be a threat. The traitors don't have to off all the Faithful to win. They just need to stay in the game themselves.

Just caught up with the show and the thread. I am absolutely obsessed with this and would love to take part in the next series. It’s been a huge hit so no doubt it will be back, albeit a bit changed I’m sure.

Would you want to be a Faithful or a Traitor?

I think Amanda will be the next to go. Wil will turn against her. He is desperate for the money and will gamble going solo to get the winnings for himself.

I would want to be a traitor for sure. The anxiety and paranoia of being a faithful would be much worse than the guilt for me!

A traitor I think. Seems less precarious than a faithful. The murders are where the real shocks take place whereas at least banishment you can sense it coming and try and do something about it.

Being a traitor is the heart of the game.

I just started the Australian series today, and I much prefer the challenges and set up of that one. The contestants are much much less emotional and dramatic and realise it's a game to be played. It's not as gripping as the UK one in terms of cliffhangers every week but that might be because I know it's not airing live and all episodes are available.

The proper orginal, the Dutch version, did a 2nd series so they’ve obviously worked out a way to pull it off

I hope there'll be a second series but the contestants will go in with a much clearer idea of how it works. Which means lots of twists will be required!

I downloaded the Australian version of Channel Crime. Am going to spend the day in bed with a thousand duvets and a pile 'o cats, watching it.

I posted last week that she reminded me of Maddy.

I hadn't heard of her before this but there's definitely a resemblance. They could easily be sisters.

Ah yes, the girl who was the ditzy one in "My Family". She is very like Maddie. And yes, I'd be a rubbish witness.

I have spent much of a child free weekend watching the Australian one too on shvideos. Finished it last night. As someone else said, they all go into it much more as game players and more aggressively. It's a great watch (though I prefer Claudia as a host).

They are absolutely ruthless! It was great being able to binge watch it rather than waiting the 4/5 days. Means I am not as prepared for Christmas as I should be but I enjoyed it tremendously!

If you are looking for something else with the politics and the emotion and forgetting it’s a game then Australian Survivor (on Amazon prime) is amazing. You have a similar theme with them working together (though in two teams) to achieve rewards, but then having to vote each other off later.

@lemonsaretheonlyfruit I also just binge watched it this weekend haha. Finished it today. The traitors in their version are far more calculating and ruthless. I felt sooo bad for the runner up 🥲. They also took being banished or murdered far more maturely and would say 'well it's just part of the game' or would laugh it off if a traitor. Mind you I do like the emotional mind games of the UK one too, everyone seems far more invested to fit in or be liked than remembering there's a huge pot of money and it's just a game with strangers.

Yes totally. Sorry I don't want to derail the thread as I am also absolutely loving the UK one (so much so that I watched the Australian one as I couldn't wait for the next episode !) but yes there is a big difference between the mentalities and 'game play' isn't there?!
