They don't usually have extra dancers for the final, do they? Didn't Helen's CC have a bunch of extras? Will it work, just the two of them, and will they need to make changes without them - is that allowed?

On ITT tonight, Gorka said that they would not have the extra dancers and would rework some of it. I don't see how it will have the same impact with just the two of them, but I'm sure they'll make it work.

Karim and Amy did their musical weeks jive in the final, and they adapted it well (though I still prefer the original with the extra energy from the backing dancers).

The difference is, as I see it, that K&A's Jive stood alone and independent of the other dancers - they were only ever in the background or dancing around the main couple, and K&A never made physical contact with them. So very easy just to do the same dance again in the final without backing dancers and for it to actually be the same dance and spectacular just the two of them. H&G's CC uses the other dancers integrally - they are holding Helen at times, and are part of the machinery of the dance. They are all falling at her feet etc and centring her as the main event by their presence. I can't see it having the same impact if it's just the two of them. And also, how much adaptation is ok before it becomes a different dance altogether?

Anyway, she's chosen her best and most impactful dances, so it should be a close fought thing - hopefully more exciting all round than the semi.

Will deserved to go home for that ghastly CC, but id does mean the final is a straight Hamza-Helen fight. It would be the surprise of the decade if Fleur or Molly won, one or the other having been in most of the danceoffs this series.

I hope Hamza wins. I didn't like the nakedly ambitious face on Helen when their place in the final was confirmed.

I don't think that couples should be allowed to repeat their cc in the final. It means they're basically doing two show dances and one proper dance. It's bollocks is what it is. This is the hill I will die on. I also think there should be a cut off point, so after week [insert number] those dances should be ruled out. That hill, is one I'm prepared to yield. I'm not a total arsehole, just a bit of a one.

Anyway, I agree about the CC. They are all overmarked because of the wanky "journey" (sadstory, family story etc) so they almost all repeat them thinking of the marks they got last time.

Is the one proper dance going to be the one the judges make them do again? (Didn't see ITT)
