Just marking my place and looking forward to the announcement of who’s got what music and dances later. Think it’s only Molly’s music that’s been revealed so far, is that right?

I will find it interesting to see if Molly ends up in the DO again. I wonder how many of the Kym voters transferred their votes to Molly last week, and this week will go back to Kym again.

I didn't bother watching last week. I just whizzed through on catchup for the pros dancing, Hamza and the results. I'll probably do the same this week. It's quite depressing.

That's twice they've used Lion King in this series of Strictly, and twice they've used Irene Cara, so even more reason to get rid of either movies or musicals because of the overlap.

Honestly, could they really not have found another musical or artist to use instead of the same ones over again?

Quite looking forward to all of those, except maybe Kym and Graz: Fame - Cha Cha Cha. Sorry Kym and Graz but cha chas never really set my world on fire.

Fleur and Vito should be good; it's a classic track. I hope they make her a very beautiful Ginger Rogers-style dress.

Helen will do well; they'll do some tap. Mein Herr is another crowd-pleaser.

I didn't know Hamza's song. It'll take some arranging for them to be able to samba to it.

Two effing Lion effing King effing sambas in the same effing series! How bereft is this show on the creative front? The Lion King has been done to death on Strictly, Movie and Musicals Week could be renamed Cabaret and Chicago Week, they've both been mined so often, Fame's been done a lot, I Got Rhythm has been used at least a couple of times before (although it is brilliant for a ballroom showstopper).

Strictly re-hashes songs and themes so often, if I were to take over as Exec Producer, I'd be going Elon Musk on a lot of asses right now. With all the obsession with keeping the show fresh by bringing in new dance styles, I never understand why nobody ever seems to pause and say, 'Hang on, haven't we used that song/theme six times already, and quite recently, too?'

Well, that's a load of bollocks for the music and dances isn't it.

I'm starting to feel as if each couple does about 8 samba/salsa/Charlestons per series. It's all so very seen-it-all-before.

Molly will spend the entire time being eclipsed by Carlos who will be in front of her all the time

Fleur is going to find being "traditional" hard after the music video travesty and the get-an-eyeful-of-my-thigh rumba.

Helen will be excellent but she's already lost me

Kym will be ok, but will talk about Covid and not being able to practice so I'll be cross

Hamza's samba will be interchangeable with his salsa and Jowita will spend more time up in the rafters than on the floor

Will's might be nice.

Hamza will get 40. Helen 40. Everyone else will get 35+ except for Kym who will get 32.

Dance off will be Kym and Molly/Fleur.

Tess will say "you wanted to be here so much" to Kym. A lot.

Fleur should be unstoppable with QS but it still needs finesse and a lightness about it. I don’t care for a

i can't tell the difference between Cha Cha, Samba and Salsa anyway so that doesn't help.

I know Dave has to recycle a few each year but still despair that songs are being used here which have iconic predecessors.

Mein Herr belongs to James and Camilla (one of my favourite tangos)
Georgia's Charleston to Hot honey rag cannot be bettered [gavel]. It's like they are setting Molly up to go! Waltzing to the King and I's Shall we dance? would have been better for her. (This is the hill upon which I shall die).
Fame has been used (badly) by Lauren for the same style.
Are they really making poor Kym don leotard and legwarmers? If it is a vote grab as Irene Cara passed away recently, they'd have been better off with Out here on my own.
I adore the track They live in you but am surprised we are going with Lion King/African theme again. I love the rhythms of it though - it is subdued/sad for a samba mind, but I am more than happy to be wrong. Perhaps because they have one less day, it is a smart move if they can incorporate some of their afrobeat dance training in it: less to learn.
Miss Saigon's Sun and Moon is a smart move and something new. I still would have preferred Mulan.

Predicting a Molly vs Kym dance-off. Think they'll save Molly again, who is the Ashley of her season.
Will, Helen, Hamza final plus one of Molly vs Fleur from the semis.

If he - and Dave Arch - do pull it off, Hamza will get my 3 votes. They have to try and condense that song and get to the more joyful gospelly bit and have only 1 minute 30 to do it in. Respect. As RuPaul would say - Don't fuck it up (please!)
