If this was big brother I would have expected several of them to have been given warnings or been evicted for their behaviour by now

But don't you have friends across the entire political spectrum? I do. I disagree with all sorts of their views but it doesn't mean I don't like them as people. Left wing or right wing, they're all kind, or I wouldn't be friends with them.
John McDonell is quite far left for me and I disagree with some of his ideas and actions of the past, but I would still be friendly towards him and get to know him. It's interesting to meet people with different thoughts than your own. How do you grow if you don't try to see other people's point of view?

Remember what happened to DJ Mike Read in one of the earlier series? Apparently he'd been a really high profile, larger-than-life character in camp and had organised games' nights and music shows and all sorts each evening but he was virtually edited out and no one saw any of it. He was first to leave. His girlfriend at the time was livid and complained loudly about it. But it's the same every year. We see what the producers want us to see, so it's pointless saying "Mike's dull" or Scarlette's such-and-such." We just don't know. Mike could have been cracking knob jokes and dissing the Queen for the whole time as far as we know but it hasn't made it to air.

I really don't see that at all.

Oh, how ridiculous!!! For a start, Mike didnmention politicians from any particular party, so no issue with neutrality there.
Sue was CLEARLY joking with the fuckwit remark.
Mike didn't "lie," he was playing the game. Your answers have to match and his did.

I for one would rather have seen a fun night of chat/knob jokes than the almost incessant sniping and attempts to isolate a camp person.

If that is down to editing, then their idea of an entertainment programme is a lot different to mine.

People do expect an awful lot considering we see around 50 minutes of actual campmate footage.

He's not being isolated. He joins in with all the singing (😫), dancing and playing of games. How exactly is he being isolated?

I get what a previous poster was getting at about how we're not seeing real personalities because of Matt being in there. They're all so aware of how he is/was perceived on the outside and are hyper-aware how it might reflect on them if they get too pally with him. Some might say that makes them cowards. Some might call it self-preservation but whatever it is they have their guards up.

I think if MH hadn’t come along it would have been Snoozeville like it was Larry Lamb’s year when he deceived Jordan Banjo as ‘like a son’ (how nice for his actual son George 🤣). Soooo boring - I think a lot of it is lack of strictness that we saw in earlier years and punishments. I also preferred it when they had 2 different camps that only merged halfway in! Anyone remember that? Croc creek and something else? They’d wear different colours too

Wholst Mike isn’t a ‘proper’ RF member he does tow (tow?) the party line that props up people like Prince Andrew who has literally paid his sex victim to not put him in prison.

Impossible to know what's not shown. I keep thinking they must have very dull conversations and interactions most of the time considering a lot of what is shown is fairly dull or ordinary!

Though given the hullabaloo surrounding MH in the media, I imagine anything remotely 'anti' him is shown.
