Yet another new thread.

I too am finding this dynamic really interesting. Quite often MH and BG are seen chatting in the background and being okay with one another and then BG seems to check himself and realise he’s being too nice and pulls back.

I also found it interesting they were put on dunny duty together. Why would sue and Mike do that to BG?

I find BG a complex character. His moments of compassion are lovely and unexpected but I do find them genuine.

There's No swimming in the cyclone. Maybe some deep paddling. He could just run round that bit.

However in trials he becomes a very different and shows an empathetic side.
not sure if they are his true feelings.

I think it was because as soon as they were told they were together, Scarlette said 'can I swap' so I thought he suddenly got really paranoid about her hating him and spiralled out of control based on that one comment. Seems a bit OTT from outside but am sure the brain does funny things in the jungle!

Why was he freaking out to be paired with Scarlette on washing up? Do they not get on?

I think it was because she asked to swap. He's anxious, worried about people not liking him and he thinks she asked to swap because she doesn't like him. He said he's scared to piss her off.

From that my guess is she doesn't like him and hasn't really tried to hide it. His anxiety has amplified it and now he's in panic mode.

Maybe Scarlette just meant she'd rather swap chore than not be paired with Seann 🤷🏻‍♀️

I listened to a podcast where Sean was talking about what happened on strictly and the press reaction and I think it genuinely traumatised him. He said he was headline news for 10 days and it destroyed his career and his confidence. I think that is why he has empathy for MH and made a comment defending him along the lines of not every thing you read in the media is true.
I think he is paranoid that women ( in particular) don’t like him and that is why he probably took scarlettes comments to heart. I bet she doesn’t really know about his strictly history or care as she is quite young and it was 5 years ago and really a minor event in strictly history. I really want to say to Seann, mate no one cares that you kissed your dance partner outside a pub 5 years ago! Stop going over it, stop thinking about it (as no one else is) and move on!
He just wants to be liked imo.

I said this before but I imagine Mike won’t want to talk about the Royals too much. I’d assume anything to do with Meghan or Andrew is off limits .

I think she generally ignores him when she can. I notice she said to Charlene that they couldn’t all be Mike, meaning they couldn’t all be good at everything. She could have used Matt as an example as he has done more trials than Mike and was good at them, but I get the impression she would prefer to ignore his presence where possible. He had already left the bowl previously and when she complained that time, he gave a very sarcastic apology “I’m so sorry you had to empty a bowl” with a nasty tone, so I think she was justified in the way she spoke to him this time.

The media have been very interesting throughout this seasson ,lots and lots of articles suggesting Matt Hancock is deeply unpopular with the british public whilstt appearing on the show ,but many of the comments below the articles suggest otherwise ,lots of Matt to win comments ,i want him to win now just to piss the media off.

I get everyone would miss their kids/ partners. But let’s be realistic. The ‘celebs’ get paid vast sums of cash. They stay in a lovely hotel at the end of it, with their families. They come back after three weeks.

We have British service people spend months away from home, who aren’t on lots of money and don’t get the five star treatment. Often in dangerous environments.

Not just service people, but people who work for charities and other jobs where they need to travel abroad. Sometimes for long periods of time.

This is very true. Many journalists on Twitter were salivating at the prospect of Matt being a big baby on trials and set off assuming that to be the case but turns out he’s pretty competent and more competent than the other celebs and do it switched to “it’s the Matt show, boring!” And now they don’t mention him at all. It’s backfired and I do find that funny.

the media and all the twitter journos are actually the biggest bullies of all ( although this is the price of a free press )
