I need to hear more Jane - I think I last watched Corrie when Ena Sharples was still in it Grin

JaneJeffer · 29/11/2022 21:51

It was two gay characters in the cafe Fizzy. Sean said Rafa Nadal is leaving his wife and joining him for an egg white omelette because he doesn't do carbs. Todd told him he'll have to forget Rafa for now because he needed to talk to him Grin I'm not a regular watcher but left ITV on after Emmerdale.

Grin that sounds like some sort of weird fever dream Jane!

It was football all the way here Hmm

JaneJeffer · 29/11/2022 21:56

Only DS2 here this evening and he wasn't bothered watching the match.

Grin That Corrie exchange sounded like someone had a bet with the script writer! how random. Football here too- we were laughing - because I watch tv with the subtitles most of the time- due to everyone being so loud round here- and it's habit. So, the Welsh National anthem came on - and it was obvious the subtitles had been pre-done, and were not being hastily typed liveGrin. Usually 'live' subtitles are full of very odd mistakes Grin

I wasn't paying attention to the football though, and dd1 got bored. Grin

Ons is at the World Cup

Ever since yesterday, i have had real problems posting- art from on site stuff- where i was able to post to say I was having trouble posting. Confused.

It's really getting on my nerves.

Raahh · 02/12/2022 14:47

But at least that worked Grin

Must just be the Doctors threadGrin

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 14:52

Shame that wouldn't happen to some other people on this site. They probably think the same about me Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/12/2022 15:02

Grin Jane it is very strange. I've tried so many times to post stuff and it really it just won't work. But only there!

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 16:12

You'll have to post here and put a link over there Grin

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 16:12

That probably won't work either though!

Raahh · 02/12/2022 17:25

Jane honestly, I have no idea what is going on- because it just isn't working at all on that thread- I will wait an see if I can post when someone starts a new one (it's nearly full)- because it really is baffling.
And I started that thread- so I feel quite miffed Grin

ChessieFL · 02/12/2022 17:33

I do wish they wouldn’t keep messing around with things. It’s very irritating.

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 17:34

That's outrageous Raahh Grin and very weird

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 17:36

I agree Chessie but it's like talking to the wall getting them to back down on anything ever and they hold all the cards!

Raahh · 02/12/2022 17:37

From now on, Jane I am going to have to discuss Doctors here. Which I do fairly often anyway, Grin.
I have tried several times now, by quoting posts, on my phone, and on my laptop and I am being blocked by the Doctors thread. Clearly I am very controversial. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something? Grin

ChessieFL · 02/12/2022 17:39

I have never seen Doctors so won’t be able to add much to any chat here! I am missing the tennis chat though so anything to fill up the time is welcome!

Raahh · 02/12/2022 17:42

Jane Oh I know, - I've still got a 'new' message alert in my 'inbox' showing from when they re-vamped the site ages ago. It's not new, its from Magi, and is from months ago . But the little 'new' message dot won't go away. Ever. No matter how many times I look at the message.

I would love to know who all these people in the focus groups are, who actually think these changes are so great - because all I ever see are posters saying they are crap. Grin

Raahh · 02/12/2022 17:44

Chessie Oh, that really doesn't matter, it's a load of rubbish, but it fills half an hour of my day - and the plots are dire. Grin Sadly, they go off air for weeks at Christmas too, that doesn't help.

I always find something to waffle about though.

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 17:53

I'm sure you're a valuable contributor to the Doctors thread Raahh Grin honestly there's very few threads here now where someone won't come along and attack you if you don't toe the party line so this thread and the Emmerdale thread are my safe spaces on here. There's people now who would faint clean away if they ever read the old X Factor threads but not before they tried to get everyone cancelled first! Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/12/2022 17:58

Jane I was looking at an old X Factor thread the other day (can't remember why) and no, we would never get away with a lot of what was said now.Grin Was fun though. Even the thread titles would probaly get us in all sorts of bother.

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 18:02

If I ever need a laugh I watch the jockey woman's audition on YouTube Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/12/2022 18:10

I miss X Factor. It was it's own brand of rubbish, but it filled a gap. Can't believe it's been 3 years- and the last series was the terrible celebrity one. Sad

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2022 18:23

It used to be the countdown to Christmas for me. I miss it.
