I woke up mid-way through the third set in Murray/Berrettini and watched most of the rest of it - I decided to leave for work early during the fifth set and watch the end at work rather than have to leave just as it went into a match tiebreak! I arrived at 5 all in the fifth, so I think it was a good decision! Pleased for Murray, but sad for Berrettini. I thought it was weird that people were talking about the possibility of Zverev losing as an "upset" - he's hardly played for the best part of seven months!
I'm annoyed Emma/Coco is first on in the night session tomorrow - it's the one part of the day which is completely unwatchable for me! They were saying on the tennis podcast yesterday that that time was good for everyone - not for me!
I work in a school and often put tennis on if it's live when I'm supervising children eating their packed lunches and try to get them into it - usually without much success. Today, however, they loved it! I put Shelton/Zhang on because it was just about to go into a match tiebreak and I thought they'd like being able to see someone actually win, and it was a much easier part of the scoring system to explain to seven and eight year olds. They all picked a side (mostly Shelton) and were shouting and cheering!
