No, there has been no affection between them whatsoever. I wonder if it's the actors who don't want the affection? I can't believe given all the on screen shenanigans with other couples that the writers would not write the same for Matty and Amy.

Matty and Amy have as much chemistry as Aaron and kayak-boy had (so memorable a character I can't even recall his name). At least he got bumped off by you know who, so that brought that non-relationship to an end,

Do Amy and Matty even like each other?

I think Amy and Matty are two characters the scriptwriters didn’t know what to do with, who’ve they’ve stuck together as a last resort in the vain hope that they might be more interesting that way.

How is it that you can have the transgender son of a murderess dating the woman who had a child with his stepfather and then went on the run after kidnapping him, and they’re still the most boring couple on television?

At least they’re actually tackling the menopause for once. Normally the only time a woman goes through the menopause in soap is if she has decided she desperately wants a late baby (and who then miraculously gets pregnant anyway).

And don't forget, not only is his mum a murderess but so is his girlfriend. And you're right, with all that family background, they are still the dullest couple to have ever graced our screens.

Ha - I had actually forgotten Amy killed Frank! Mind you, so has everyone else - including his own daughters.

Does anyone know how much longer the football is gonna be dominating the TV schedule for?

The final is on the 18th but obviously there will be less matches as nations get knocked out so I'm not sure how the remaining matches affect the schedule @strugglingwithlife but from the 19th they should be back to normal
