Without the stage school dancers we would have 16 dancers like Tony. I like him, but one of him is enough. And he has gone far enough.

Tyler should have been in the DO really.

I thought that, she's not a fucking doll! Just because you can lift her up, doesn't mean you should!

Or I might not have read it in the way it was intended.

There will be a lot of people voting for Tony, not just the Arsenal fans but those who like an underdog / someone who brings fun to the show. See John Sergant and Ann Widdecombe….

Ellie T continues to get far more votes than I would expect. I'm happy, because I like her, but surprised. I think she'd have done better with a more OTT and parodic Anton-style rumba which she could have thrown herself into in the safety of airquotes.

Very surprised that people are voting for Tyler, after that not-very-good VW. But he seems nice enough and he's a decent dancer so I'm pleased enough that he's staying.

Not surprised by Molly's lack of votes after that competent but nondescript foxtrot.

Sad to see Ellie S gone. She was never likely to trouble the final but she could have had a couple more good weeks and I'd have thought she'd have more support than Tyler or Will.

Actually looking forward to Hamza's Couple's Choice. Could be quite good.

And when are we going to get more Pasos? Will, Hamza and Fleur should all be able to do pretty good ones. I shudder to think about Tony's

I hope the football fans will bow out now. Tony was pretty bad, Katya was furious, but she had the grace to look embarrassed when they were put through. It’s a travesty that he’s there and Ellie isn’t.

Haven't read it all yet so am sure it has already been commented on (watching on catch up) but my god Luke Evans is the spitting image of Kai!!

Exactly what we thought. I wanted Kai to go over and get in shot next to Luke at the end, selfie style.

I just watched some of Neil and Katya's professional dances on YouTube. I don't know much about dance, but bloody hell, he looked amazing!

The thing about Tony is that you don't get to be Arsenal and England captain without being competitive and Katya is like that but distilled. She's probably going to give him hell in training (which he would be used to back in the day) and I would be very surprised if he doesn't manage something passable next week.

I would also be unsurprised if more came out about rows. It's not going to be pink and fluffy in that training room!

A lot of the dancers are forgettable (esp stage school types) after a little while. So far this series, Hamza, Helen and Ellie have been stand outs. I'm very surprised Ellie has gone after what seemed her best dance.

Sargent and Widdicombe both went out/walked in week 10, as did Ed Balls, so I guess we’ll see if that’s the usual limit for entertaining-but-not-very-good dancers, or if there is a football element influencing the vote.

I did once think the beautiful music from Midnight Cowboy would make a lovely Movie Week VW, but then realised the theming problem. Giovanni tries to get Debbie McGee to pay him for sex, ends up giving Craig a hand-job instead, and when they go over for the judging at the end they realise that Bruno's died halfway through the routine.

Still haven't caught up but did read the spoiler this morning because I knew I wasn't likely to catch up before you all got the results show tonight. I actually gasped out loud when I saw it. I thought it would be Fleur and Molly. (thought Molly and Kym until reading about how good the AT was)

Well, this is annoying. I shall miss Nikita's brilliant choreography for Ellie. The right choice out of those two though, I think.
This is what happens when football fans are allowed to vote. I hope Arsenal loses every match this season.

Sorry, nothing against you, just feeling annoyed and vengeful in the heat of the moment at the people who are allegedly voting without watching and spoiling it for the rest of us :)

Another one here that's absolutely gutted Ellie went out. She was better than Tony, Elllie T, Will and Tyler last night I thought. Much more entertaining!
Maybe Fleur too - who brought the Dead Dad and fab sister story fgs, conveniently rolled out this week to save her.

I agree she's made a damn good pro out of Nikita and they seemed such a fun pair. They definitely could have had more weeks and maybe a final, maybe not, but week 7 is too soon for someone so full of fun and the joy of dance. I was shouting at the judges, fucking Craig and his 3 for Ellie T!!

Molly may be technically competent but I agree she's forgettable in a bland way.

If it wasn't for Hamza, I'd probably give up on this season now.

Yes - I watched Ellie's documentary; it showed her doing a bit of yoga, and it seems the movement in some of her joints esp hips and ankles is quite limited - she never brought it up at all and they just worked round it. Inspirational for all who want to dance with 'non-standard' bodies.

I agree, I felt v uncomfortable about this.. especially when they started throwing her up in the air. But maybe she was ok with it - I dunno.. if it was me, it would have really pissed me off. At least it only lasted a few seconds

Throwing her like it was the bumps was a bit off. Lifting her as a group, less so. One person lifting her would have been treating her like a child/doll, the group lift made it a celebration. Without the lift she'd have been suffocated by sweaty genitals which nobody would have wanted.

Gutted about Ellie & Nikita - they were my favourites.

I'm guessing they all know Ellie better than we do so can judge what she is likely to think is OK.

Her disability so perhaps the most obvious one they've had so far so I think judging has perhaps been difficult. They overcame the height brilliantly but they can't overcome and lack of flexibility in her joints. I'm not really sure how the judges were meant to judge her fairly against Molly in the dance off. It's like putting a celeb up against a pro and expecting them to be the same. That said, I doubt she would want special treatment.

Unfortunately, at this stage there are still too many dancers to choose from and not enough votes.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but it seems like the Charleston is the dance of death this series.

Anyone know who is doing Charleston next week?

Winners are always lifted up by the group at the end. Especially popular/iconic losing contestants also get lifted up when they're sent home.
