In a couple of years people are going to be googling Mollie to remember who she is. Nobody will need to Google Ellie.

Luke Evans was Gaston.

Ellmau · 06/11/2022 20:11

Well, this is annoying. I shall miss Nikita's brilliant choreography for Ellie. The right choice out of those two though, I think.

This is what happens when football fans are allowed to vote. I hope Arsenal loses every match this season.

CuriousCatfish · 06/11/2022 20:12

Molly is the better dancer imo.

awaynboilyurheid · 06/11/2022 20:15

Another who would rather watch Ellie than Molly, she obviously had a great time though and came across as having such a brilliant positive bubbly personality. Her partnership was great with Nikita and what a lovely thing to say everyone here loves you!

IReallyLikeCrows · 06/11/2022 20:16

I think Hamza is just getting the vote based on his personality and dancing. I didn't know who he was before this and I'm in love with him - not in that way - and would love to see him win. I think there are celebrities who come along and just get votes based on how they are on the show and he's one of them. I think Bill fits into that too. Obviously, far more people knew him but he was getting the vote because he was just enormously likeable and could dance. IMO, to win you have to be both likeable and able to dance. One without the other doesn't cut it. Mostly.

iklboo · 06/11/2022 20:16

@CuriousCatfish - she is. But she's younger, able bodied and stage school trained.

RoachTheHorse · 06/11/2022 20:17

I'm so sad for Ellie but on the dancing it was probably right, although I'd have preferred her to stay as I find her more joyful.

ilovesooty · 06/11/2022 20:19

Molly is unfortunately dull, Carlos isn't engaging and that dance was terribly twee, however well executed it was.

lollipoprainbow · 06/11/2022 20:19

Teary too she was so joyous to watch.

EsmaCannonball · 06/11/2022 20:20

I love the way Nikita dances when he knows he's going home. He's one of those rare pros who instantly fits right into the show.

When I saw the spoiler it was the first elimination that annoyed me. I'm not getting anything from Molly's or Ellie T's routines. Will is ok but he peaked in Week One.

Molly's foxtrot would have been improved 100% if it had been danced to a bit of Nat King Cole or Ella Fitzgerald. This show doesn't help the younger females connect with the audience by constantly tanking them with twee themes and dreary chart music.

Luke Evans wore that same snug-fitting polo-neck when he was on Saturday Kitchen. (Maybe not the exact same one. He might have a whole tallboy full of them. Who knows?) It's stuck in my memory, not just because of the snugness, but because I was astounded by the bravery of wearing a white jumper on a live television show that involves eating several meals. That man will risk anything to show off his muscle definition.

I adore Hamza but, even if he is right at the very bottom of the leaderboard next week, there is no fucking way I am ever voting for a Couple's Choice.

Land of 1000 Dances is pretty much every dance Tony does. And never the one he's meant to be doing.

LaGioconda · 06/11/2022 20:21

Tonight was a classic illustration of why it's problematic bringing in stage-school ringers who no-one really knows. They get into the dance-off time and time again, and it's then unfair on whoever they are against because the judges will save the trained dancer every time. It's a waste of time, because if Molly makes it to the final there won't be any element of suspense, we know people won't be voting for her.

FluffyCat17 · 06/11/2022 20:22

They seemed to have Hamza nailed on as almost perfect from week one, which I don’t understand. There are other top half of the chart dancers around.

And everyone knowing that a none ringer has missed out on a place in the final.

He's like Voldemort...never to be mentioned!

See - he revels in his reputation as the envious, attention-seeking bad guy!

PrincessScarlett · 06/11/2022 20:25

Katya did look upset for Ellie at the end and she was the first one rushing over to give her a hug.

Emotionalsupportviper · 06/11/2022 20:26

Relly disappointed to lose Ellie - she brings so much personality to the show.

I would have saved her and Nikita - they had a more challenging dance IMO* and she is much more physically limited, but she still gave a more memorable and exciting performance.

LINABE · 06/11/2022 20:26

SoupDragon · 06/11/2022 19:54

How can they compare someone who is stage school trained with someone who has physical limitations and hasn't danced before?

My thoughts entirely. It's not a dance competition it's a popularity one. (stating the bleeding' obvious I know but this has annoyed me tonight)

Emotionalsupportviper · 06/11/2022 20:26

I noticed that, too.

Emotionalsupportviper · 06/11/2022 20:28

LOL!

AssignedSlytherinAtBirth · 06/11/2022 20:29

I am disappointed that Claud didn't ask Craig why he gave Ellie T a 3 but gave Tony a 4. No way was she worse than him. I know it was mostly posing rather than dancing but it was beautiful.

EsmaCannonball · 06/11/2022 20:31

Yes, Molly is basically toast but toast with the potential to knock out more popular celebs who've had a bad week or landed in the dance-off primarily due to leaderboard position. (As the show goes on it becomes mathematically harder for those near the bottom to avoid the dance-off.) It's not fair to get rid of Molly when she is the better dancer but it also doesn't make sense to cling on to someone who isn't box-office with the viewers.

purfectpuss · 06/11/2022 20:34

Love Luke Evans! He's one of the sexiest men ever!

Blip · 06/11/2022 20:36

Such a shame for Ellie and Nikita to go, I always love watching them and they have such a great partnership.

Mollie and Carlos are less entertaining and engaging to watch in my opinion.

Sunbird24 · 06/11/2022 20:36

In the end, I guess if you’re not going to make the final it doesn’t really matter too much which week you leave in. I’d have loved Ellie to be in for a bit longer, but she was very unlikely to win if she couldn’t get enough votes to keep her out of the bottom two with that dance and at this point in the show. She’s not the type to moan about it anyway, shall look forward to seeing her and Nikita on ITT tomorrow

StellaAndCrow · 06/11/2022 20:51

I know it wasn't an option, but I'd rather Will had gone. I just don't get a feeling of joy from him that I do from Ellie S and others.
