I didn’t feel it. But that is me. Loads of folk enjoyed it.

On this thread so far people have said they don't warm to Tessa, or Helen, or Ellie... I don't see a race theme here...?

This is really weird to admit, but I've got a crush on Cameron Lombard. I keep an eye out for him in the group dances and the in-between chats. I haven't had a crush on a bloke on telly since Christopher Neame in Colditz in about 1973. Insane!

Dick Player! Right up there with Dick Swiveller for a name. Colditz was on before I was born but I do have a crush on Christopher Neame in that show, and in Secret Army. Is it wrong that I also liked Anthony Valentine as the Hot Nazi?

Aaaaahhhh I feel less of a freak now! But had forgotten CN was "Dick Player" ... Maybe subtle subliminal forces were at play that made me write his name in biro all over my pencil case at school.

Back to Strictly!!!!!! Not sure what this Cameron crush is all about.

I worry for Neil being so unpopular. Surely he can't be bad if he was married to fabulous Katya?! I'm in awe of her. She seems absolutely fearless.

I think the right person went home tonight but feel so sorry for Fleur being in another -off, she must feel gutted. Her dance was frenetic and uninhibited and took my breath away. Usually the judges ask people to let themselves go a bit more, hilarious that they keep asking her to rein it in a bit!

I thought their lifts were clumsy and awkward and it looked like she belted Vito in the face with a thigh at one point. Not exactly elegant. Motsi was absolutely correct they should forget lifts and stay on the floor! Vito isn't that much taller than her and not a Graz/Aljaz who could lift anyone and make it look easy.

And yes, she's super stompy and far too manic. I'd say that about anyone who danced like that no matter their skin colour.

Yes Fleur needs to watch some of AJ's dances, she was awesome and definitely deserves a shot at a Christmas special glitterball or similar! And Vito needs help with choreography to suit her.

I don't think any of the female celebs really have the edge so Fleur could yet surprise. Happened to Abbey Clancy.

I do think it will be a male winner this time though.

Does she still have a Charleston to come? Get that or a quickstep on the bouncy Blackpool floor and it all opens up.

Whoever gets a samba next week will be in the firing line. I think there's Hamza and Tyler way out in front. Molly should be there but there's no chemistry and Craig was bang on. She does the steps but it doesn't feel right so I don't see her in the final.

After that they are all close and some luck with the order of the dances is involved. Will and Kim have chalked off a few of the bad 'uns so that may help them

I must confess that I thought their marriage was one of convenience in order to get her a visa. No idea where this idea came from but think it's because they're such an unlikely couple with absolutely zero chemistry & he didn't seem bothered about the kiss with Seann until the papers made such a big deal about it & then he seemed like he was milking the drama.

She's a far superior dancer and choreographer than he is!

Re AJ - that foot injury totally robbed her and I do think she would’ve triumphed.

The night of the final it would be nice to see her and Kai dance to the star turn.

@NormaTheWife I don't know but she has a different hairstyle every time we see her so I suspect a wig. She must have a huge number!

I suspect she's had quite a bit of work done to her face recently and this is all a diversion.

The problem with saying that race is the issue with Fleur ignores the fact that Tyler and Hamza are extremely popular. As is Johannes.
Molly has been in the DO, but avoided it this week, because 2 people with rubbish themes ended up there.
Fleur is really good, but she's lacking something for me, as is Kym, as was James.

So, for me, saying it's about race is insulting to the majority of the public. We can all use a couple of examples to "prove" how the public think, but that ignores too many other factors.

Fleur's costume did her no favours- all that distracting fluff exaggerated the over ebullience of it all. She needs more control, I think. Strangely I like her better in the behind the scenes bits than when she's all dolled up. Possibly she's nervous? She's 'giving it all she's got' when she doesn't need to because she's actually got more than enough.

Is she hard to lift because she overshoots? That's the sense I got last night. She's so darn close.

Will, by contrast, is looking lazy. Had a few fab dances at the beginning, but doesn't seem to be improving.

Hamza, bless him- I was blown away by the combination of delicacy and power, in such a chunky body. And he's such a sweetie along with it. He reminds me so much of Jay- genuine humility and respect for the people he works with.

I don't know who anyone is. Will was the only one I recognised. Oh, and Nikita's Ellie. I know who all the blokes are now, but the women all blend into one for me now. Once they are made up, I can't tell them apart. The personalities aren't really shining, for me. I recognise Fleur's power in the dance, actually. The others are all a bit samey.

My issue with Fleur (and this applies to all such contestants) is that she's a reality tv 'star'. I don't know her in her own right as a profession (whatever discipline that may be) other than as someone endlessly trying to be famous. It automatically puts a contestant at a disadvantage in my eyes.

It may be unfair that I favour someone who films wildlife or used to be a brilliant footballer or swimmer to someone who goes on I'm a Celebrity & X Factor etc. but there it is.

I really like Fleur and her energy, but it means there's little rise and fall in a dance, it's all manic instead of having some quiet parts then building to a climax.

Anyway, she had loads of content in her dance this weekend and I'm glad she's through! She has stage presence. I enjoy watching her dance.

Just to add that she is way better than James and so clearly deserved to stay in the judges' vote.

I'm not really feeling it with any of them this year though I have to say. It feels a bit flat and no one is wowing me every week (although Hamza last week was amazing).
