I couldn't see an existing thread on this, apologies if there is and I missed it.

Anyway, as it says in the thread title. New series starts tonight.

Yay!

PrincessScarlett · 01/11/2022 21:05

Surely not 3rd week in a row for Syabira?

Shortkiwi · 01/11/2022 21:07

I would really like Paul to have to compete with the bakers. I just feel he wouldn’t do too well.

No-one has excelled overall so yes, I'm guessing Syabira.

Maxi to go? She seemed to fall apart after her shaky start,

So very much a twat.

littlbrowndog · 01/11/2022 21:12

JustDanceAddict · 01/11/2022 21:12

I though Janusz would go

littlbrowndog · 01/11/2022 21:12

Not a great week this

not enough time for these bakes

TheDogsMother · 01/11/2022 21:12

Oh nooooo Maxy. So wrong.

MrsMitford3 · 01/11/2022 21:13

ooooh I don't think Prue likes sandro maybe she is a mumsnetter

Telling Sandro he is a lucky boy....

PrincessScarlett · 01/11/2022 21:14

Overall I think Maxy is better than Abdul but it was a tough week this week.

this 100%

Calmdown14 · 01/11/2022 21:20

I think Sandro stole the spring roll as that's what saved him! Janeuz would have won the technical otherwise and I think if he had, Sandro was out.

But given he won one out of three they couldn't quite justify sending him home over Maxi (who I had down as the winner).

MrsLargeEmbodied · 01/11/2022 21:23

Paul was being mean before they even baked, I hated his green shirt and Matt's pyjama top

Egghead68 · 01/11/2022 22:08

Upsetting that Maxy went.

jay55 · 01/11/2022 22:16

Had to watch on catch up as gymnastics worlds was on (omg Whoop GB silver).

Sad that it's Maxxy going but she had a shocker.
I suppose Sandro saved himself winning the technical. But his other two bakes were shit.

I can't believe all the vol au vents were so shit. I could just imagine Mary turning her nose up and then explaining exactly how to make them.

However I thoroughly approved of all three challenges this week.

Still would love a return of the hand raised pie.

Fizbosshoes · 01/11/2022 23:00

I also thought that Paul was pretty savage in his comments tonight and in the evaluation (for want of a better word) Prue said the showstoppers were all quite disappointing. Both me and DD were like "well duh it's because the task wasn't really possible in the time allowed"

We were disappointed that Maxy went, but I think the writing was on the wall from the start. Her spring rolls looked really good though.

They never look as impressive as the drawings

I agree.
The drawings are amazing.

Magelica · 02/11/2022 10:45

I'd love to sit in on the drawings briefing. 'So... you say it's going to be a three tier cake, different sponges and fillings, and there will be a working crane on the top which will lift a jug of matcha custard... and then pour it over the top? OK. And the crane is being driven by a tiny marzipan dog? A fondant Lakeland terrier. Right-o.'

And then the baker throwing a hissy fit! That's a PATTERDALE terrier you've drawn on there! YOU JUST DON'T LISTEN!" and storming off.
