DOC MARTIN - Final series

Looking forward to the first episode of the last ever series of Doc Martin. Starts at 9pm tonight on ITV. Anyone else watching?

The doc has definitely 'softened'. His grumpiness and quick-witted put-downs used to be hilarious.

I don't think they'll leave but wonder what would make them stay after telling everyone the news?

In the last episode I didn’t notice any funny patients names. He didn’t really have any patients.

I am enjoying it, but it’s a bit twee. I can’t cope with Doc being nice to people. I think he will realise he can’t possibly leave the village without a GP.

There's got to be a medical crisis close to home. Maybe something with Ruth or one of the kids? Can't be Louisa as we've already had plenty of incidents of Louisa being rushed into hospital for various reasons over the years. Something that makes them all realise that Portwenn needs a GP and they need the community.

I think one of the kids. Maybe Mary. Although she goes missing a lot, so perhaps they wouldn’t notice!

I wonder will it involve Louisa's dad in some way? I thought the episode where he left in the taxi was very open-ended, didn't Penhale turn up to escort him back and he'd already left?

Fantastic final episode.

Ooohhh I thought they were going to kill off the Doc for a minute. Was a bit touch and go.

Mrs Tishall was the absolute star of that episode!

What a lovely finale! So looking forward to the Christmas special, but I'll miss it so much.

It was a brilliant final episode - really moving without being too sickly and turned out exactly as we hoped! So pleased there is still a Christmas episode to look forward to 😊
