i like the actress who plays Eve a lot. She’s excellent. I hope EE doesn’t go down the line of bringing her other family members into it. As soon as she spoke about her parents I thought ding dong they are going to trot out the same old formula of introducing them instead of leaving Eve’s character to develop itself. They don’t have to do it - they managed not to with Heather and Minty and they were both memorable characters in their own right.

Suki will go to Mumbai while Daddy gets his feet under the table I suppose? Unless he has Kheerat when he was a teen, the age difference is too much. And if he was in prison for 20 years, then he must have been put there for murder I suppose?

I spent most of last night's episode muttering "oh for God's sake". The "bride" turning up in long white dress and veil. The lad dressed up pretending to marry Alfie and Joan. Suki's husband walking out of jail having just been stabbed. Kheerat just walking into his mother's bedroom. Denise watching Jack touching Chelsea's hand. I know it's EE but there's no real drama. Just nonsense. Give us some gritty storylines.

There's lots to come out about the Panesar's past. Suki seems scared of Nish for a start, although he appears to have been a good father. If you ignore the whole "in prison for murder" thing.

I don't find Suki being gay very convincing at all. I mean, it's been acted beautifully but in the terms of her character...? No.

What is really annoying me (and it's my own fault because I shouldn't go looking) is that there is only 10 years between the actress who plays Suki and the actor who plays Kheerat.

It's the same with Gillian Taylforth and Adam Woodyatt.

The nursing home shite storyline has just been written in for Alfie’s reappearance.

I also dislike when they write in stupid storyline fillers like this. The robbery with Mick running around in fluffy slippers was another nonsensical piece of writing.
They are as bad as the public service announcement storylines they went overboard with a few years ago like the bins not being picked up.

I feel it’s like a love story that has been able to develop rather than a rushed hop into bed and suddenly they are living together and/or pregnant storyline.

I’m trying to think when they did this with two single people before - Bradley and Stacey but she was with Max so not really. Sharon and Denis? But he was with someone else at the beginning?
