So upsetting tonight. Wish they had given an update at the end about the baby boy having seizures, the paramedic could not get over the case, which was very sad.

I came on tonight just to see if there was anyone who knew of the outcome (ie linked it to a news report) but I imagine it was either far too painful for the family to allow it to be aired or there's child safety to take into account.

Utterly heartbreaking episode though, the young couple who were totally in shock at the miscarriage (although, I would have thought it a still birth? Not clued up on such things however) the way that she held her baby. I don't think I've ever sobbed so much at a TV program.

I wondered about a child safety issue too. The two paramedics were so shocked. And yes, the young woman with the baby girl's wrapped little body in her arms was heartbreaking.

I cried my way through that episode. The love and care those paramedics have for their patients is amazing.

It was the most heartbreaking episodes of Ambulance I've ever seen and there have been many that have brought me to tears. The mum with the baby wrapped in the foil sheet was difficult to see. The professionalism and care of the paramedics was astounding. They said it was the first miscarriage like that they'd attended yet their calmness and absolute competence made it look like they'd done it many times before.

I think its classed as a miscarriage up to a certain number of weeks (maybe 23) absolutely heartbreaking either way. I do think there may have been something else going on with the baby having seizures. Paramedics are so brave to face these situations day in day out.
