DH said he thought it was a foot fault!

I am looking forward to today, but nervous. Taylor obviously has a game than can cause Rafa serious trouble. His win in IW will be mentioned a lot- even though Rafa was clearly injured, and probably shouldn't have played the match (or the tournament- his clay season might have had a better start). But I do like Fritz- though not today I don't think it will be an easy match though, and it's not a foregone conclusion by any means.

Anisimova might be trouble for Simona- though Halep beat her in Bad Homburg.

I want to avoid the other match with Garin and you know who, and wish Cristian lots of luck. It's back on court one-and I think the atmosphere will be different, and let Dick let his guard down- being Wimbledon, I'm not sure if he will face any reactions from the crowd re the court case. Will there be booing? He could rise to the bait, if so.

Ajla plays Rybakina- hopefully Tracy isn't commentating on that one.

I’m missing the tennis today as I’m out with work again. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for Rafa and Garin though!

I’m trying not to think about Rafa’s match later - think it will be a tough one but hopefully Rafa will come through - also hoping for a Garin win as well

I’m WFH today so hopefully will be able to see some if the tennis later - I’ve just had a call with my manager - he asked me if I’ve been enjoying the tennis - I think he’s onto me - oops!

Just started listening to Mac’s 6 love 6 radio phone in - he said he had a caller called John who is in his workshop but it was actually John from Worksop - oh dear

I'm watching a bi of the Salisbury Ram/Mahut/Roger-Vaselin match.

But torn- Joe is massively ignored by the British media, so I always like to see him do well)but I am also a huge Mahut fan.

I feel like Rafa should come through, but it will be tough, I'm braced for a 5-set thriller.

Would love a Garin win but I just don't see him getting past Krygios unfortunately.

Halep-Anisimova should be a good one.

Controversy in the doubles match- Salisbury /Ram disputing a couple of dubious hawkeye calls- and have the supervisor out.

Joe is usually very mild mannered- but he's not at all happy.

so once again, the cente court match has started - but coverage on the Beeb is not due to start until 1.45 . By coverage- I mean Sue will probably appear and re-hash a whole load of stuff from yesterday again. (Whic hshe has already doen on BBC2) -talk about Kyrgios again and probably show a few vts of playong who are actually playing.
By which time, the first set will probably be over.

In all the years I've been watching- I can't remember bein so irritated by the coverage.

And I'm so cross about it, my typing has gone to pot

And halfway though the second set they'll probably swap channels for no reason.

I KNOW she won in 2019, because seemingly unlike whoever they are aiming this coverage at- I actually follow tennis. .

Eurosport are showing both finals live. I wish they had been let show the other matches as well.

I would complain but I did actually complain about AC and Peter Fleming getting their facts wrong at Queens so I think they’ve already got me down as a nutter!

I could definitely do lengthy letters though.

The Beeb could still show it and make a bit of money by letting another channel cover it too. They used to let RTÉ show it back day.
