I thought a 5 year ban was appropriate given how drunk she was and the fact that she'd been banned 3 years or so earlier too. I don't know why the judge said "twice in 10 years" when it was much closer than that.

The bank holiday court thing was odd - they are usually better than that at getting the right time for stories to go out.

It didn't click with me about the court hearing on a BH, only that the SW came out on a BH!

If the courts work at all on a BH it's only to clear out people from police cells, surely, if that?

They must write quite far in advance, so even though they included the carnival things it probably didn't register with the writers that it would be broadcast on a bank holiday.
Either that or they assumed the courts are open a lot more than they are.
