Was very sad about Avery which is unusual for a character they’ve only just introduced so we are not yet emotionally invested in him

Yes, felt quite sad about Avery considering we've only known him five minutes.

Howie's phone call has surely got to be to mum/ granny, but there'll be a huge misunderstanding along the way with Kim convinced he's got another lady friend tucked away.

Anyone else rather pleased that Peter cleaned out the business accounts? He's not a likeable character but what Kathy did was shocking, protecting her son after he beat up her grandson. She's got to be the worst mother in EE surely and there's been a few.

@Blondeshavemorefun - I was thinking the same about Kathy - bit silly/stupid of her to keep all the money tied up in the business account (or not have more controls about who can withdraw it etc, not just Peter).

Oh I can believe it; it's in keeping with the character and after Ben attacked him and showed no remorse, was only bothered about saving his own skin and then Kathy sided with Ben against her grandson..

I assume Rocky doesn’t know about the rape. But that aside he is the only one telling Ben how it is. And I really like Rocky.

I know! I think Ian owns the house but Kathy has lived there for ages and Ben only moved back in after splitting from Callum, now he's trying to tell his mum to leave!

I've watched them all already (again). I agree Avery's death was surprisingly sad and I can believe Peter took all that money. He always felt in the shadow of Lucy and he resented his family. But the character was boring so I'm glad they got rid of him.

I'm really enjoying the current stories especially the Ben one (as much as you can enjoy it) as it's really believable the way he's acting out. There's a lot of fun in this week's episodes as there has been lately. Tara brings a lot to EE as does Kim.

I agree Peter was boring.

To me a lot of EE seems unbelievable (there's a surprise). Kathy/Ian in real life wouldn't let Peter access all the money for all the businesses (including Kath's cafe?) as it's not good business sense, especially when we know how tight Ian was/is!

It also seems unbelievable that there's no money at all (even property) for Avery's sons.

EE really seems to have lost its shine for me recently. I'd get back another 2 hours of my life back if I didn't watch it!

Ben uses the 'you faked your death' thing to guilt trip Kathy whenever things aren't going his way. It was of course another example of her terrible parenting! But regardless of that, Ben is a horrible character; he attacked innocent people as an outlet for his anger and of course killed lovely Heather Trott back in the day!
