Even Sue can stumble over her words sometimes. I will reserve my judgment of the new presenter until she settles in. I think the rain threw her a bit because they didn't expect it so early.

I'm watching on a rather old telly, and I'm a bit dubious about the new stripey outfits, as the ballkids are strobing when they scuttle across the court.

Jane I agree about the rain delay throwing her a bit. The best of them run out of ad libs after a while. She started off well enough, and it's the first day.

Jabeur raced through her match, so Carlos should be on Court 1 next. Will be an interesting test.

Sulusu I think the title is Djok's to lose, but I am pinning my hopes on a massive meteor to drop on his head miracle.

ADF has taken the second set- and I think the commentators are a bit surprised, and calling it a big upset. I really think that's over egging it. ADF is ranked in the 30s- so not far off being seeded. And, as I said before, ADF was junior Wimbledon champion.

I don't like the stripey kits, I like the traditional green/purple The stripes look like a p.e kit. A very expensive Ralph Lauren p.e kit.

I don't know why they always go for pale trousers. Dark would be a lot more flattering to lumps and bumps.

Fizzy I'm not convinced about Jelena and Djok at all- but they are are barmy as each other, when it comes to daft theories about stuff. Maybe they are a good match.

There was an interesting article in the paper the other day about the all white rule and women players and periods but yes there seems to be even more white around this year
