Sure, but people buy the tickets with the hope/expectation of seeing certain players. If I’d forked out for tickets for Centre Court today and discovered they’d put all the matches I wanted to see on the minor courts in order to be “fair” (as a PP suggested) I’d be pissed.

Those people I suggested for centre are all Wimbledon winners. I don't think anyone is going to be pissed off at getting to see them

I agree jane I'd rather see Simona than Djokovic. I think they do need to move people around more, give everyone a turn. Djokovic clearly (unfortunately) and Murray etc should get to play on centre but so should many others. Murray himself has said he feels that would be fairer and he certainly doesn't feel that he should get to always play there.

I was just sitting down to watch a little bit of the tennis whilst dd is resting and it's raining....typical!

It wasn’t your post I was responding to Jane. Those are great players you mentioned and well worth watching, but if you surveyed the fans I’m betting Raducanu, Murray and Djokovic are going to be bigger draws overall.

Even if I’d personally rather watch almost anyone than Djokovic.

I have workmen in the house, annoying the dog, and making noise.

Every time I look , the time it says on screen for the matches to start gets later. It's 12pm now. They will all be starting at the same time, on all the courts, at this rate.

Watched Tan v Williams until Sherwood came on and had the BBC updates on my phone and couldn't believe that I could continue watching after the conclusion of Sherwood.

What an exciting match and I agree with Martina Navratilova when she said it was probably going to be the game of the tournament. Tan's family in the box were just fantastic to watch. I loved the little girl.

They seem to be sticking to their guns Raahh. Why is nothing being played under the roof though?

I've spent ages trying different Sky frequencies to see if any red buttons appear but no luck.

That's what annoys me. Why have the roof if you can't use them . Ok it's because the great and good won't have arrived but still.

Have the rumours about playing on Sunday started yet???

Jane because they won't start play on the show courts early (unless they really have to) which always seems daft to me, to have them sitting there doing nothing. If the weather gets worse, they have potentially wasted a couple of hours.

Why can't they show some matches from the outside courts from yesterday- rather than sitting and re-hashing all the same stuff? There were
some brilliant matches.

Thanks- you know what, I had it in the back of my mind that they were making Sunday play a regular thing as soon as I sent that posts but wasn't sure!!!

Mingling I convinced myself last year that it was starting -and was very disappointed when it didn't . Got a bit ahead of myself. By a year!

I watched the tiebreak from last night. Harmony has nerves of steel facing Serena down in front of a Centre Court crowd.

The dog is doing my head in barking at nothing. Well nothing within my hearing range.

Jane I liked middle Sunday off- but I get used to play on middle Sundays at the other slams. I only pretend I'm going to do something useful with the day off, anyway

It would have been nice if they had shown some of the Cressy match- it was so good. He's lovely serve volleyer, so it was nice to see.

I see Coric is on holidays in Dubai. I wonder if he has an injury or just couldn't be bothered playing Wimbledon?

I started watching Casper, and then got a very lengthy phonecall.He won the first set, but Humbert is leading in the second. This might be another lengthy one.
