I haven't watched the news properly in days either jane - i want to just enjoy the strawberries and cream/little tennis bubble we get for a couple of weeks.

Jane she's terrible- I'm not sure why they keep her around really. I've never liked her commentary.

Serena has been an amazing athlete but now needs to retire with some grace imo.

Angie should be on Centre tomorrow and Garbine and Simona should have been on there too. Send Djok off to the outside courts.

I'm delighted I have managed to avoid seeing Serena except for one second.

They need to sell tickets, so I think it’s entirely understandable that in the early stages of the tournament it’s going to be British players plus the top seeds that get put on the show courts.

Why with grace?
She put on an excellent performance against Tan yesterday, it was an exciting and elite match, physical for more than three hours and it could have gone either way, she still is an amazing athlete, possibly more so as she continues to train and play when she is no longer at her peak. She doesn't need the money or the glory I think playing at Wimbledon at 40 is pretty impressive.
